To Me.

Things always get better. Ignore what everyone else says, in fact, just don't bother with most people, it's impossible to reason with them.

-Cheers,
Me.

Wow... there's a lot to cover. Mainly, though, my primary message to myself at age 14, high school freshman, is this:

I mean, really. I was pretty pitiful when I started high school, and never really grew out of it until the beginning of this semester of college. Four years of social awkwardness, spazzy behavior, and general *****-ness. Hell, in all honesty, I'm still working on it.

It's one thing to be a geek. It's quite another to have never had a girlfriend because you just fail at life in general.

[sub]I feel very sad now.[/sub]

Funny thing is I have a pact with an ex that if either of us got the opportunity we are supposed to give messages to both our younger selves...

To us, age 19...The bad news is that you are both too young for this relationship, truly you found each other too early. But you absolutely NEED to stick with each other through this uncertainty and not feel the need to "go sow your wild oats". Sadly, both of you will end up looking back at each other as "the one that got away" and by that time too much damage and hurt will have been done on both sides to ever fully recapture what you both have right now. The few times you try will fail because of the actions you are both thinking right now. On your current paths, this relationship changes the way both of you will view every relationship that is to follow...and it will fall short every time... K- you are having issues with your dad and think the Navy is the answer...it isn't...you end up far away and miserable. Cut off from all those friends that want to do nothing but be there for you...especially D. You worry that your relationship with D leaves you too "dependant", but he is your rock and that's exactly what he wants to be, you guys make a great team when you work through things together. D, you need to let K be a head case right now, she needs to vent, be there for her and you'll get through just fine. You both think what you have is too good to be true...stop questioning your luck and just be happy with it.

And D----your guitar playing is decent, but don't quite your day job over it. Just enjoy it as a hobby. K---accept that D is a geek. Comic Books and Toy Robots are sooooo much better vices than the drugs, alcohol abuse and violence that follow with the guys who aren't D.

Dear, 7th Grade me
Please stop trying to be "bad" and stop trying to be the class clown, getting detention does not mean you have a fucking war medal so don't go gloating about it and shouting out random things in class does not equal funny you're just embarrassing yourself. Also think before you leave those pervy comments on the MySpace page of a girl you've never talked to in person. And learn to spell, spelling correctly on the internet is not "only for nerds" I hope you take this advice into consideration

"Go out with a girl named Kyra. She likes you, trust me, and it'll piss everyone off.

"Study, especially in Chemistry. Yes, I know it's so elementary that reading the text will bore you to tears, but it'd be a shame to let that genius mind of yours go to waste. Besides, that CC Earth Science class you'd take in the Ninth Grade is even more boring, unchallenging, and frankly insulting to your intelligence.

"Punch Bobby in the face

"Don't make cancer jokes in Reading Class. Just. . . don't.

EDIT: I wonder if anyone from High School would recognize me from this. . . .
BOB? Is that YOU? Mike? Jim? James? Carlton? Marcus? Miguel? Carlos? Dom? Cole? Andy? Rick? Baird?
You should have tried Adrian.

"What ever you do, SAVE YOUR DAMN MONEY!!!!"
When I look back at my younger days I realized, I wasted a LOT of money! I spent money on thing I have never used to this day when all along I could have saved it for something better.

LOLOLOLOL!!!!!

As for my message to myself:
"That girl that you really like, yeah that one. Get on that shit right now because she likes you back, and you're moving away!"
Either that, or:
"Don't buy Black Ops, don't play Metroid: Other M, and start yelling loudly whenever anyone says 'hey, have you heard this song by Rebecca Black?'"

Dear Past Self,
Just so you know, college is SO much better than high school. I know you're depressed and junk, but continue to muddle through somehow. You'll make good progress toward your dream, but I suggest you learn true assertiveness rather than just superficial faking it. Networking is important later and I'm too shy and lazy to do it properly. So you know, since you're me, learn how to do it properly. And get your rear in gear, get scholarships, don't live in the same house as Mom even if she lives only two blocks away. You need to learn how to be self-sufficient, you whiny little magnet! IT'S YOUR FAULT I AM TOO LAZY TO LOOK FOR A JOB!

Don't avoid drugs and alcohol or any other deviant behaviors just because they're deviant. Give it a chance and don't stress out about it.

Don't get to be such a fat shit. Now I have to fix it.

Also, don't date that really crazy girl. There's two other ladies that are going to be into you at the same time you would be dating her.
