It looks like it's going to turn into a gigantic guilty pleasure... I mean, mostly for metal gear fans, but for almost everyone at some point. The last minute of the trailer is just ludicrous. LET ME SHOVE THE WORD REVENGANCE IN YOUR FACE FOR THE SIXTEENTH TIME IN A ROW WITH SOME GUITAR BEHIND IT, YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T GET IT THE FIRST FIFTEEN TIMES. XD

Unless there was some sort of enormous theme jump in MGS4 (the only MGS game I haven't played, due to my lack of a PS3), what the hell does this have to do with Metal Gear Solid, save for Raiden and Metal Gear Ray? Something about cyborgs and men in black and... I don't know.

Was that trailer put together by Michael Bay? Pretty sure Revengeance isn't a word, and I take it there isn't going to be any stealth game play involved. The action looked a little choppy. Bad puns aside, the gameplay looked a little too frenetic. People who are fans of the Metal Gear franchise are going to be disappointed, expecting a stealth game. Will I play it? Maybe, I was never really behind the Raiden character to begin with, but who knows the game could be lots of fun depending on how all the mechanics work.

Story wise, I bet it will chronicle the events leading up to the beginning of MGS4 such as Raiden rescuing Sunny from the Patriots.

Raiden was very much like that in MGS4.

It's ridiculous. Even though the series is over and Snake is permanently out of the picture, people still hate Raiden for just existing.

Yeah, but Kojima said his reasoning for making another game was fans demanding another one, even though before MGS4 was even released he said it'd be his last.

Do fans just expect him to pull endless prequels out his ass?

The problem is that Kojima probably can keep pulling out prequels and the fans know it. MGS is slowly inching into the cash-in phase.

It's getting close but I don't think its there just yet. In terms of prequels, I think there has to be at least one more, because Big Boss has not yet become the warmongering villain that he eventually becomes in MG1 and MG2. It would also be nice if we could see a complete remake of MG1 and MG2, which could be combined into one game given the length of the first two games.

There isn't much else they can do with Solid Snake given the ending of MGS4. The only thing I can think of is maybe a game about his exploits with the Philanthropy group before MGS2. Anything else after MGS4 would be kinda pointless unless Kojima gives it a massive overhaul in terms of themes, characters, and gameplay.

With the exception of one more game involving Big Boss, I would much rather see Kojima focus more on other projects like Zone of the Enders 3, which is long overdue.

I liked it better when it was less... insane. Before the cutting physics were a core part of gameplay, now they just look like finishing porn.

It doesn't look bad, just generic. I think with DMC and Ninja Gaiden III, I'm good for crazy action games, I liked it better when it was more subdued(Relatively speaking).

I'll admit that I've never been one to like Raiden's character. Ever. But that doesn't seem to be the reason why I'm not liking this game. (Well trailer, to be fair.) I can't seem to put my finger on what it is that I dislike though. All of it?

Heads up- MGS3 was not about Solid Snake, but Naked Snake (Big Boss). It was set in the 60ies..

LOL that was big boss, though. Not Snake. If he died that would be a HUGE time paradox.

Hence every time you died in that game, it said "Time Paradox!"

MGR kinda looks too absurd now for me to check out, I was feeling fine until he started sword fighting the Ray and then lifting up the Ray a proceeding to throw this massive mech, also is there going to be any stealth in this game whatsoever? Revegence lol

OT, I think I will check it out! I love the series that much that this looks interesting enough to keep me entertained! I never really hated Raiden either! Still prefered snake, but raiden wasn't that bad!
