Switching discs was always lame. It also depends on the kind of game being created, a game like Assasin's Creed for example would be effectively impossible on multiple discs unless you did a mandatory install because of the way that style of game is coded. In the end it really all depends on how the game was made.

It depends on the game. In some, it's a bit less frustrating, and I feel like in some, if it's inserted in the right way, it can feel pretty epic, like "End of Book 1." or something, following a major event.

"OH MY GOD! HE'S DEAD! PROTAGONIST NUMBER 4 IS DEAD!"

I feel the same. Playing FFIX, it was really cool how each disc felt almost like a separate chapter within the entire game.

And really, all it means is that you have to take ten seconds or so out of your busy gaming business to swap a disc. If it bothers you, just pretend you've hit the pause button or something.
If it bothers you, you've probably no place playing an MGS game in the first place. I mean, they did it with MGS1, so I don't see why anyone should be up in arms about it if it does happen.

People are spoiled.Playing Video Games straight away was one of the main selling points of the Console. Now as soon as Sony is trying to be "teh oldskool", everybody's pissed off :)

Learn some grammar, invest in a spell-checker. If you want to be a contributing member here, make sure you make your post legible.

And to answer your question (which you forgot to question mark), fellating any corporation to the point of fanboyism is a sign of stupidity, ignorance and bias. The CEO of Sony doesn't give two shits whether you proclaim the holy goodness of the PS3 or not, in the end he, like all CEOs, wants the money you've got in your wallet.
Oh, sorry about I was up late that night when I wrote that post {sniff} and currently sick but that's no excuse. I'll try to edit all my post over an over(which I normally do) till I don't see any mistakes guess I'll check up on my late-night/earlymorning ones then.

P.S. About the fan-boy part I just mean the part where you praise it/them and not bash/hate others nothing would be done if what you 1st thought i ment was true for the world.

P.P.S. Edited 3 times.( Future edit notes on new posts will not appear.)

I understand that this next point doesn't really mean they can't port to the 360 but in one of the trailers...

http://www.youtube,com/watch?v=KyCXg_gEPG0&feature=related (About 3:35 into it.)

Shows Snake with Metal Gear Rex MK.II being controlled be a controller in Snakes hands that looks like the PS3's Six-axis controller. Wouldn't going to the extent of using a specfic controller mean the currently exclusive MGS4 isn't going to be ported anytime soon?

Also, about disc switching in general like others said nothing's wrong with it but I can't think of any game that's been on multiple systems that had different amount of discs before for each unless the content was altered or added/subtracted. Granted i've never had an issue before with multiple disc on games i've enjoyed like Legend of Dragoon or Final Fantasy.

Well PC doesn't really count they can get anything with time or first... Not that i'm saying PC is bad. Really i'm not.

Meh I don't even like disc changers, I've never liked changing discs for any reason. I was unlucky enough to get the CD version of Quake 4 and frankly it has never been fun to go through all of those discs just to install the game. I keep a DVD version I downloaded just for that reason.

the way ps3 is going with the low sales it might. assasins creed and some others were only ment to be ps3 releases but they had such low scales. so the mgs4 crew might think for a second and release it on xbox.
You mean these low sales? [http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=9946&Itemid=2] Still, thier nothing compared to how the Wii is doing but they certianly have overtaken the 360. As for the "mgs4 crew" thinking about releasing it on the 360; it is not going to happen as it simply isnt possible.
err mate you might want to look up your sources xbox has sold double of what ps3 has.
You see that link? Move that litle pointy thing on your screen towards it and click with the button on your mouse. Then you will see that you are wrong.
Yeah but the sources don't show anything special either.Considering that 360 is about a year older, the difference isn't that big(310:365).

Also why do PS3 owners feel such a strong urge to point this out? I don't remember 360-owners bragging how they were outselling PS3's for the last 3 years and I don't remember Wii owners saying something in between the lines of "We've been outselling you bitches since umm...like...ummm...ever.".PS3 outsold 360's for two months in a row.Well done Sony, now beat it.

Sorry for the rant but this is brought up in pretty much every PS3/360 discussion.Just plain annoying.

They were and you know it, also keep in mind that someone else said that the PS3 has "low sales" before that was even brought up.

True...but as a Daily Joystiq reader, this shit is brought up in pretty much every single headline that remotely involves PS3,360 or both. It's a shame that Joystiq won't ban people unless they use some extreme insults because right now we have a couple of persistent trolls.

People need to seriously get away from brand loyalty. All three corps have been evil in one way or another.
Three words. Folding @ Home.
Huh? I'm not saying folding @ home is a bad thing but my point still stands. And the amount of energy burnt by people leaving their PS3s on permanently won't help the environment, which slightly tarnishes Foldings general goodness.
