If you want metal that is actually metal, I suggest trying... You know, actual metal... That's just obvious...

I was just being an arse; he said that was an option so I picked it. How often do I get that opportunity? Thanks for the advice though dude.Ironic Pirate said:And what justifies calling him a "fucktard"?
Why would you want it be more like Indestructible as opposed to more like The Sickness or Ten Thousand Fists. Those were much more of metal than Indestructible.Blindswordmaster said:Got the new Disturbed album last week and I was disappointed with it. It wasn't heavy at all and I really expected it to be more like Indestructible.
Not a big fan of the voice, but the guitar was awesome!Bored Tomatoe said:If you like thrash I'm sure you'll love Lazarus AD:

Definitely digging that list. Add to it Municipal Waste (wikipedia calls them a thrash crossover band but if you've been to a MW concert you know its fucking thrash)Trifixion said:Thrash metal? Okay. Definitely the new OverKill, Exodus "Exhibit B" is excellent, Heathen's comeback album is great oldschool stuff, new ones from Horrorscope and Onslaught are on the way, Demonica is damn good, the new Witchery is cool (though I miss Toxine), King's Evil apparently has a new one ready to go though nobody seems to know when it's going to come out. If you haven't tried 'em already, check out The Scourger, Lazarus A.D., Dew-Scented (weird name, good thrash), Maniacal, maybe Sworn Amongst...oh yeah, and Savage Messiah (band name probably ripped off from Arch Enemy, sound & some riffs ripped off from Testament, vocalist sounds like Dave Mustaine, still manages to kick ass.)
Protest the Hero? Periphery? SikTh? DEVIN TOWNSEND? TOOL??? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! Seriously, I love all of those bands/artists, Periphery and Protest the Hero especially.Outright Villainy said:I do what I always do when looking for good Metal: Go a little deeper than whatever's on the music channels. I can't stand Disturbed and their Ilk. Of modern metal, by far my favourite bands are Protest the hero and Periphery, though SikTh have been doing similar stuff a few years ago and went criminally unnoticed.
Then of course there's Devin Townsend or Tool who I can always rely on for a masterclass album every time.
This:Ironic Pirate said:And what justifies calling him a "fucktard"? Does he dare have different musical taste! Well then it's certainly excusable.

It's fine, I encourage free expression and "go fuck yourself" is always an option in conversation; it's there right next to the renegade option.summerof2010 said:I was just being an arse; he said that was an option so I picked it.
