That's just a matter of definition though. The only real difference is that the Mayan ruins and the Moai were "intelligently designed" whereas the tree just happened to be fit enough for survival to last 3,500 years. Why define the former as a "testament" and the latter as a mere chance coincidence? That's seems a rather arbitrary distinction to make.
If you ask me, the tree is a testament as well. It's a testament to the survival of a tree! The "creations" (I use the word loosely) of nature are no less wonderful than the creations of humans. The existence of humans and every other species on earth, might be said to be a combination of "just happened to live a long time" stretched out over a period of aeons, and each is as worthy of preservation as any work of human ingenuity.
