I was reading through a few things and came across this

http://www.thegamereviews.com/articlenav-1190-page-1.html

So MSG5 might be a prequel? I'm not sure about that, I would rather have something totally different, still set in the MGS world, still a stealth game, but not playing as Snake.

As a massive fan of MGS4 I would still totally welcome a MGS5, what do you wonderful people think?

Interesting, but Kojima needs to let it rest now, and move on to about a thousand other things he could be doing, like a remake of Policenauts or Snatcher. No one is going to send him death threats for not making a prequel.

Him doing a Cyberpunk setting could well be a thing of beauty.

I agree, he needs to let it die.

It actually wouldn't be THAT bad if we played through the events that made Raiden a Cyborg. It could be an interesting premise.

The funny thing is that Kojima said he's leaving MGS series after the 4th game, so meanin' that the 5th game is gonna be made not under his super vision. So we can expect somethin' comepletly good or bad.

Oog. I enjoyed MGS4, but not as much as it seems most people did. MGS5 could be good or terrible. If it's like Act 3 of MGS4 times five, then I'm not interested in watching more cutscenes than gameplay. If it's like Act 4, count me in.

Oh come on, it seems that if any game goes past a direct sequel #2, it automatically means that they're "milking" the franchise and thus it needs to "die". Why is that?

Anyway, I'd welcome a new MGS game on any system or whatever. It still has some questions left unanswered and who wouldn't want to play as Liquid/Raiden/Solidus/Otacon?

I hope not, I kinda like all those lame Easter eggs in the MGS series, there have been some legendary stuff in there, if someone does come over there will be MASSIVE shoes to fill.

Unless it's set before MGS4, it should not be considered Metal Gear Solid. The stories of the Snakes is over, the world has no more Snakes.
But...
MGS4 introduced Raiden's son. Maybe this hypothesised 'MGS5' could revolve around his first mission. Plus, Otacon, Meryl, Raiden, Meryl and Johnny's kid could make appearnces. One can dream...

Well we can expect something different, that's for sure. I still couldn't believe he got death threats when he said he was going to leave it at 3, that just made me laugh until my sides hurt.

But I hope to god we get either Snatcher or some kind of cyberpunk game, I swear we are cyberpunk starved (good ones anyway). Plus he is rumoured to be doing a project with Goichi Suda: Project S http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_'S'

Hmmm...A game made by Kojima and Suda, well this should be a interestin' project.A combination of wakky colors with a deep story line, might be a great formula.

Don't misunderstand Jumplion. I don't think so at all, but MGS has been a long and arduous road for him, and there have been 24 titles in all. I love MGS but with his skills, he could be giving us another masterful franchise instead, don't you think?

Oh, you'd better believe it. Just tell me who I have to kill to get this title quicker, and they'll badger food in five hours. Suda showed his presentation skills and sense of style are just mad, so now I'm clamouring for more.

Also there is supposed to be a joint horror project in the works with Suda and Shinji Mikami, of RE fame O_O. Also I think there is one more member of that team, but I forget who, but either way, Suda is a very busy man.

Yeah, but this was his final decision, he even announced it himselfe. So he's out after the 4th game, he said he wanted to work on other projects an thinks MGS has already made it's mark in the game history

Definitely. Kick some arse, Suda.
