Michael Bay must be stopped!!!

Ok i just found out that Michael Bay and his god awful remake company, Platinum Dunes, are set to ruin two of my fav childhood movies. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Monster Squad remakes are both in the hands of a production team known for bad remakes and a moron director with a hard on for shakey cam...say it isn't soooo!!!

By the way, I have to agree. There's plenty of ways the guy could screw this up, but I don't think Bay is the wrong guy for this kind of movie, per se... I'll reserve judgement until I've watched the finished product.

More than likely he will treat the turtles as a side plot in favor of having US soldiers come in and fight aliens or meteors

No he'll go for a "realism" angle and the "Turtles" will be the codename for an elite Army Rangers unit sent to fight an African terrorist militia. The Africans will, of course, be played by white actors in black face.

I think you mean to so thay that you can't deny that they ARE entertaining. You kinda contradicted yourself with too many negatives there.

That said, I fail to see why everyone's making a big deal out of this. Like Hubilbub pointed out, it's not like TMNT has an amazingly deep, Oscar-worthy storyline. And yet people are acting like he's Uwe Boll out to purposefully destroy the plot to Half-Life or something.

It's not an hour and a half, mind you, but there's a good deal of that going on in "Idiocracy". Teeheehee. Makes me giggle when I think about it. ^^
