So. A company's boasting that it's Killer App for the year is gonna be the show stopping hit of 2010? ... Anyone's really surprised by this? I've never really cared for Halo as a game or as a franchise, and the only thing that interests me about Reach is the lighting that they're bragging about, but I wouldn't buy it just for that.
I'm not gonna call anything as biggest game of the year, but I ultimately don't see it being Reach.

I dont get why you changed that but meh I just find it funny that, provided you didn't lie about your age, I am definitely older than you, given that I actually live in my own house instead of with my parents, as a student and a worker, so I actually EARN the money that pays for me to be able to come on the internet and say my piece, hopefully when you grow up and experience the difficulties of every day life and having to pay for the privilege of having the internet, then you will treat other people better on it, this isn't even about halo any more, I am just pissed off that kids like you feel the need to insult people to get your point across and derive some weird pleasure from annoying and insulting people, one can only hope that you grow out of that before you end up going out into the real world.

The reason a majority of people arent on here posting about halo is because we spend more time actually playing the game rather than coming online to justify ourselves to the crowd here at the escapist, when we are not playing halo we are more likely to be at 7th column because those are the forums for fans of the series and bungie.

Infact I think this is probably the least worthy of all the AAA releases to be the big game of 2010.

It'll outsell God Of War 3, that I'm sure of; anything Halo related moves in great numbers.

Considering 2010 has Mass Effect 2, GoW3, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Bioshock 2, just to name a few, coming out I'm not convinced Halo: Reach can outshine all of these.

I really really doubt that. Actually, maybe it's more of a hope. I don't understand what's so great about Halo, and I like to think that most people are over it by now. Surely more people are looking forward to God 3... Or especially Call Of Duty 7. (Is that an assumption, or is there some kind of announcement about it?)

All we've seen is two trailers, one of which is a panoramic view of Reach with people talking in the background, and a "meet the spartens" video. Seriously, It'd be nice to know if it's going to be another halo game, or if your taking it into a different direction like battlefield, larger bigger team based games with defined classes like sniper etc. Because after the disapointment which was ODST, shame they simply didn't delay it and work on it longer, it might be time for bungie to start making marthon again...

To sum up, no it will not be the biggest selling game, unless they really do something with it.

Agreed. Halo, is Halo, is Halo. As they say. I think it might be an intresting game, but certainly not as big as CoD was to the industry.

Halo didnt revolutionize shit. As a matter of fact it provided less gameplay then Unreal Tournament. Only thing Halo did was dumb down the genre with aim assist bullshit cause controllers are vast inferior to mouse and wasd.

Oh dear. If he says across all platforms he really should be able to qualify the statement. It will probably be just another poorly done console port that will demand the latest version of windows and have Doom level graphics because they couldn't be bothered to make the PC version work.
