I refuse to believe without evidence that Microsoft points are pointless without onions and mustard.

Can't be eaten raw, aren't made from what they're named after and you REALLY don't want to see them being made if you ever want to enjoy one again.
I imagine a room of little microsoft gnomes making xbox live points

See the reason the sell ht dogs in tins of eight and buns in packs of six, is so you have to buy 3 tins and four packs of buns to even it out. its the same with ms points. They are just greedy money grabbing bastards with a very apealing thingy to sell

I find just hanging on to those extra 200 points actually is beneficial to me. I live in Canada where we get 1400 point cards instead of 1600. So that extra 200 works well for the second card.

Failed, due to shoddy spelling and grammar.

No. After all, I, being Jesus as you have so correctly stated, have a lot of work to do, the least dissuading people from spelling with the same efficacy as a three-year-old.
What crawled up your ass? I was just posting. I wasnt writing an english essay. I dont need somebody nitpicking at my grammer.

Buying points from xbox live - you can never get the right amount of points for anything - much DLC is 800 points, some games are 1200 and picture packs etc are 200.
A related question: Why do you have to pay for picture packs at all? I've never understood this. Microsoft is basically charging you for a tiny thumbnail image that advertises Xbox games. I know Microsoft is a corporation, it needs to make money, blah blah blah. But at a certain point, this kind of nickel and diming is going to do more harm than its worth.

Did I say that you asked me to do this? No. I did it of my own accord. As such, think of it not as what you need, but what I want to do. Plus, in answer to your question, a centipede. :p

Some picture packs are free but they really suck - I got the hellboy2 pic pack. its really just what they get paid to promote or else its 200 points.

Here's a thought: Don't waste your points. hurr durr Just because you HAVE them, doesn't mean you have to spend them. I'm not taking up for Microsoft. It's a shitty system, but you're letting yourself be exploited by putting points on picture packs. : / Save them, eventually they'll accumulate and you'll be able to buy something worth buying.

Well, I usually buy the 800 points packs in a store.
Problem solved.
I've only ever seen 1700 or 2100 points packs.

You also pay more in a store on a per point basis, but yeah that doesnt make them like hotdogs.

I'd still prefer to straight up buy them.

Hmm, 800 points cost exactly 10 euro in a gamestop (In germany). If there's a differnece it's pretty insignificant. And they still give out the 1600 point packs for Lost & Damned for 20.
I for one have never seen 1700 point packs. It's 800, 1400 or 2100 around here.
But I agree: No reason to not let us buy the exact amount we need other than profit.

Hmmm in the UK that is all I have seen, thanks for that input man.

Maybe they just like to screw with us.

Even off the XBL marketplace its like 450 then the next one is 1000.

I never liked the points on the Wii or 360. I liked PSN's method of only putting in the amount you're actually going to use.

I had a similar thought, "They're made of raccoons and old shoes?"
