I kinda dissagree,if there's one type of publicity I enjoy is the comparative publicity. When you explain your product make names of the product you compete with and say why that one sucks and why yours is better. I hate the political corectness in publicity when they compare their product to an annonymous product.

It's one thing to say that the NGP is going to be better than the 3DS and here's why. It's quite another to say that the DS is only good for babysitting kids and no self respecting adults would play one.

Show why your product is better by telling us about your product. Don't pull an Apple "Mac VS PC" commercial and just spend your time bashing the competition and the people who use the competition's products.

Nothing useful to contribute to this thread, since someone already posted this image ahead of me. Perfectly sums up how the conferences invariably go: Microsoft tries to sound edgy but just sounds dorky, Nintendo promises the moon, Sony announces their latest rip-off and say it's not.

Anyway, I could care less. I'll never play an MS console again after drake of the 99 dragons, and Nintendo has to do better then the Wii for its next console, so Sony again in the next console race. bring on the PS4! 8D

I don't know why Microsoft would need to be insecure about Nintendo as a competitor since they pretty cater to totally different markets with the games they put out. You need not fear Microsoft, I don't own a Wii, don't plan to buy a Wii. You may need to worry I might never buy a kinect though, I despise gimmicky motion controls.

And why should they be fair? yeah I wish publicity would actually be accurate but also in this case we're talking about a Microsoft convention and as all conventions opinions are more extremist than you would see in an actual publicity. I doubt MS would call that Nintendo on a viral campaign or tv publicity.
