But Maxwell Richardson sounds more dashing than Max Richardson.
My last name throws dashing right out the window, regardless of what comes before it.

I'm thinking of getting it changed.
I'm fairly sure this question is futile, but what's your last name?
Or, at the very least, what's so bad about it/ what makes it so bad?

Mine are Laugharne (pronounced larn) and Hyde. Both are family names that get passed down the line to the next poor baby.

To be honest, I really don't mind them, they're both uncommon (like my first and last names for that matter) which is never a bad thing. And I wouldn't change them because really, how often do you use them?

Romanization (phonetic translation) of the last 2 parts of my Chinese name, after my family name, which is my English last name.

Simple, eh?

Edit:

Lynn....I don't dislike it, but its very unoriginal. I've never met another Jessica with middle name that wasn't Lynn
I hope your last name isn't "Spears [http://www.chefswidow.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/baby-shower-jamie-lynn-spears.jpg]."

William, it's after my granddad, and he is awesome.
But I would happily exchange for Souperdouperplex Killsplosion Awesomegasm.
But who wouldn't?

Mine is Beth, why, I don't know. My grandmother insists on hyphenating my name, so to her I'm always Alyce-Beth, which is a little strange, since I'm only that at home when I'm being yelled at.

my middle name is David, after one David Burns, who was killed in action during the Great War. Since then every eldest son of each generation has David as their middle name in his honour.
