It's like current writers' easy access to self-publishing with the advent of ebooks. People who shouldn't be published because they're not good at writing can suddenly do it (see 50 Shades of Gray). Editors exist for a reason. SAme problem with video games; without someone telling them to do it better, developers can create the first things that pop into their heads. Like shitty clones of games that can be found in an quality-edited form on Pirate Bay.
