the series ends on not a normal mindfuck, but one that makes you think about it so much it fucks with your mind. They take the entire series building up the characters and back story and about how the mother new one of the children will be tortured. So she dresses them both up the same him and his sister and when they come to take them the mother keeps switching between the two and cant decide which one to give him. and his final line in the entire series is "was my mother trying to protect me or did she confuse me with my sister which one was unwanted" now after going through the whole series and learning the truth it fucks with your mind because it has no answer and both sides are evenly matched for reasons.

I'll admit the first time I watched it it didn't make sense, but once it clicked for me it's a really cool story. In fact,you don't really have to be that scientifically gifted to watch it, I think it's just the sheer amount of jargon going on in some scenes makes people's brains shut off because they think they can't know what's going on.
