Well, I just wanted to show off my giant lego castle thing which took hours to make. But first, press that print screen button in minecraft and show us what you can create in a sandbox 8 times larger than planet earth.

It is inspired by the Lloyd's Building in London, yet I somehow managed to make it even uglier.

I had to make hundreds and hundreds (thousands?) of those stone steps, which meant removing almost an entire mountain. I also dug up an entire beach for the sand to make glass. I was planning on providing interior lighting with a lava fall, but I couldn't figure out a way of making one that wouldn't burn the floor away.

I always thought single player minecraft was for digging for treasures and dungeons, while ALPHA multiplayer was for creating epic stuff.

Can't work out how to post screenshots. I was going to post my periodic table.
1) open minecraft and position yourself in a good place to take a screenshot.
2) Press the Prnt Scrn button
3) Paste Prnt Scrn into MPaint.
4) Save it.
5) Go on this link [http://imageshack.us/] to upload your pictures.
6) Copy the /url.
7) Paste url between these two (without the exclaimation marks): [!img] ***URL GOES HERE*** [!/img]
8)???
9) profit

Isn't the spelunking exciting? You are supposed to do something with all the stone and minerals you dig up though.

I always make stuff but no creation projects, I have a tower for example that serves me as shelter when night catches me outside too far from home, but mostly i dig and make natural caves bigger.

*EDIT* Here is said tower

Right now it's crawling with creepers and skeletons around it, if you look carefully you might see some.

I hate the skeletons. Creepers blow up your hard work, but at least you can guide them away. Skeletons like to knock you down potholes and off cliff faces

I'm in the process of hollowing out a mountain. I originally wanted to create a cavern and a base a kin to Magneto's prison in the X-men movies. To get a scale of it, it will probably take me a couple of hours to increase the width of the room by 3 blocks. Needless to say, this is why I haven't done it yet.

BTW I play on peaceful because getting attacked by creepers/skellies/zombs was really pissing me off when building other stuff and the cavern looks so much better in complete darkness. I also found that, even when the above cavern had torches all along the walls, due to the distance there was enough darkness in the centre of the room to spawn creatures.

I've created other stuff, such as the tower of Sauron; lava is the eye and obsidian as the pupils, but it was night in my current game and I was to lazy to wait. Regardless, the above was the most time consuming.

Why not just play multiplayer apha with all the blocks you want and no mobs, or maybe you like the darkness?

I like the resource gathering nature of it and the sense of accomplishment. I also enjoy the survival aspect and regularly create new games on hard to explore and build bases, but once you have all the basic materials and equipment the enemies stop being a challenge and more a minor inconvenience, so I get hid of them altogether. I?m looking forward to the patch which makes torches a limited resource because that should add a new dimension to it.

This, very much so. I don't fancy the torches going out, especially when I use them as bread crumb trails. I'm too used to it.

In lieu of screenshots (because I'm lazy), here's a link. Only about 3 MB.

You'll find my mine (rudimentary, and one of many, I doubt anyone will find the others). Don't bother, really. It's not that interesting.

You will also find an airship containing (among other things) a giant indoor rollercoaster. And "minecraft" written in the side of a mountain. Oh, and a re-creation of Rapture. That last one rewards some fairly thorough exploration, but may well kill you.

It's not great, but it's something. So.. well, have fun and mock away, I suppose.

My skull island, originally intended to be spider skull island. Once I decided It was too complex, I gave up, and just made it a skull.

Outside

Bottom Floor

Didn't bother doing much with the top.

I think I just lost. Big time.

Nicely done, that.

Edit: That's a lot of gold.

I'd post some screenshots, but they seem so inadequate compared to these other ones...

I'd stop being lazy and post screenshots of Rapture/the airship/the mountain, but I'm working on my next project, which kinda dwarfs all the others.

Well, that and they're best experienced rather than seen in any case.

You're the guy who made this?
