I just flat out can't be arsed with PC Minecraft specifically because of the faffing about with texture packs, skins and mods, the different launchers, the enormous game worlds (although I do think the console worlds could stand to be about 9-16 times as big as they currently are), the griefers, and the general vibe of high-functioning geekiness that accompanies it.Renegade-pizza said:Why use console instead of PC?
PC has custom texture packs, skins and (my favourite) mods!
So does console Minecraft. The only differences between the two versions are the world size (which is much bigger on the PC) and the version history (PC build is currently on version 1.9, 360 version for example is roughly equivalent to 1.4 but has many 1.5 and 1.6 features as well).Renegade-pizza said:PC has custom texture packs, skins and (my favourite) mods!
Not to mention that the 360 version has a ton of skin packs, and a bunch of texture packs, too. (I dont know if they have added any yet to the PS3)fenrizz said:Because why the hell not?
I do not give 2 shits about texture packs, skins and mods and I like to play games in my living room.
I have a really crap laptop and I don't feel like hooking it up to the TV every time I feel like playing on a decent screen or with a co-op buddy.Renegade-pizza said:Can anyone explain why you would realistically choose Console over PC?
I'm planning on getting it for a console for one reason and one reason alone. The PS Vita is a portable device. As I spend about 2-3 hours on the train a day, Minecraft would be a fun way to pass the time, and I'm not nearly as bothered by grindiness when I have nothing better to do in the first placeRenegade-pizza said:Can anyone explain why you would realistically choose Console over PC? I mean Minecraft, not the war.
