Allow me to tell you the story of NinjaCoon's great sheep massacre.
After hours of making a fence around my farm, I spent a few days colonizing islands and making light houses in my MineCraft WaterWorld, as I've come to call it. I come back today to find dozens of sheep have trampled my crops (I left the gate open aaaarghhhhh).
Needless to say, in my passion, I collected 5 black wool, 3 grey wool, and LOTS of white wool.
I don't play Minecraft myself, but I do follow the Yogscast (Simon and Lewis, hoorah!) and their Minecraft adventures ("The Curse of Israphel"), which are both amazingly funny and amazingly amazing.
It makes me want to buy the game, but I have many other games to finish and no money.
I typed "Afro-American" into the seed box (long story), and got what is quite frankly the best world ever. Even better than "Gargamel".
Behind my spawn point was a series of mushroom mountains. I finally made that hanging garden I always wanted, and am considering an upside-down castle.
I must have played at least 18 hours between today and yesterday, I'm building an uber minecart track in the Nether that leads from my underground Vault, to my mountaintop mansion, and I've gone through at least 5 stacks of iron so far, 3 of which I've collected between today and yesterday.
Here's pics of the track as of yesterday, now everything up to the second pic is encased in cobblestone so I can travel safely.
And here's a pic of where my mountaintop mansion is now (it's the one with the lava flowing out of it, which by the way, I did not place), I finished the first story of it already, plus a hydroponics deck and tree farm:
Oh yeah, and that underground Vault I mentioned, I've got pics of that too:

Randomly named it Vault 83

Holy crap, I didn't mean to post that much! Sorry, I sorta went off on a tangent there. But now you know what I've done in Minecraft for the past few weeks.
Me and some friends were on a server, basically just making the world as crater-filled as possible. I had dug straight down and was filling the hole with dynamite when one of my friends teleports himself to where I am. I dig a little side cavern and he steps inside it. I continue to fill the hole with dynamite, then proceed to blow it and my friend to bits. It was like "The Cask of Amontillado" except more hilarious.

Decided to play some multiplayer with my friend. We start a new world, and fifty crashes later, we have a rudimentery house and mine. I notice it is late and tell him I am getting off the game. He says he is gonna leave too. Before I leave, I dig a hole straight to bedrock, just for the lulz. He starts yelling at me, telling me I ruined our house, so I get off.
Two days later, I call him and ask him if he wants to play again. He says sure and starts up the server. I start back at the bottom of my hole. I notice that I found a cavern and I also see a workbench and ladders leading back to the surface. I climb back to the surface and my friend freaks out. He starts questioning me how I got up so fast. I say I used the ladders he put in. He responds by saying he hasn't been on since we played last. I think he is lying, but he swears on his life that he didn't do it. We go back down the ladders and see that there is a chest (full of refined ores), a workbench, and a bed.
I say someone must have just somehow joined, and he goes off about whitelists and how he set it up where no one but us can get onto the server. We immediately stopped playing on that world.
But every once and a while, we go back and find the cavern is getting bigger and that there are more torches and more ore found, but none of the ore is used. So is this just a game Super-Glitch, someone hacking into his server, or Herobrine? We don't know.

I'm glad you like it! It took me a long time to get it to this state.
As for how I managed to make it, I found a small natural cave, that's the starting room that you see there, and thought of things to do with it, when I realized that I could form an underground house with no annoyance of mobs, and no worry of creepers or anything that could destroy my base. So I started with that little room, and built onward from there, using TNT, Pickaxes, and Shovels to form my Vault.
Also, I fenced in my fountain that leads into the vault, and fenced in a little town along with it, to make it look all the more innocent:
My humble little townhouse:
Oh, and here's where that water elevator leads up to, it's got tunnels to my spawn, and to my town, and a lighthouse on top just in case I ever get lost while exploring:
Tonight I decided to start a new world, just for the hell of it. After building my house and surrounding the area with torches, I ran into a nearby cave and started mining for ore. When I returned to my house I found that it was completely surround by animals, there were at least 20 to 25 of them. They were all trying to jump through my windows and jumping at my door as if they really wanted to get inside and steal my stuff. I slaughtered them all, resupplied, and went mining again. I came back and the same thing happened, only there were more animals than before. That massive group is just always there, day after day, blocking my door when I'm running from creepers -_-

Animals only spawn on grass, so if you can surround the ground around your house in a fairly wide radius with anything but dirt, the animals will likely go away. Alternatively, fence your house in like I did, and make the floor all through the town cobblestone or whatever's convenient:

I completely forgot about fences, thanks for reminding me. I just thought it was a bit strange that they spawned in such a massive quantity and really really liked my house.

>Have four bases, each on an island
>Decide to make a bridge-railroad system to connect my four safehouses
>Went well
>Finishing fourth bridge
>Sudden desire to make a giant floating citadel between the islands
>Making four beams to reach out just to look cool
>Make flat platform
>Build entrance hall
>Build east and west wings
>Two days later, finally finish
>Step outside of main hall
>Army of creepers is standing outside
>Sigh
>Go down escape hatch
>Return to safehouse 1
>Use bed
>Return to citadel
>All is well
>Forgot I had a last stand TNT trap set up
>Hit pressure plate
>Citadel blows up
I dug a new path into a giant shaft that nearly reached from the surface to the bottom of the map. At the bottom it dropped directly into the most massive sea of lava I have found so far. When I eventually found my way back, and safely got to the bottom this time. I was pretty amazed to see 8 waterfalls along with 6 lava flows falling into the cavern from above and the side. You could walk right out into the middle of this massive sea of lava and very carefully stand on the obsidion in the middle of it all. It's one of the few parts of the map I have found that I have left relatively untouched. Probably won't stay that way for long I decided to build a statue with a gold sun on top of it, and there was a lot of gold down there.
On one of my side maps I found the biggest lava pool I've ever seen - it was literally no less than 100x100 and there were huge caves above it, sometimes with water pouring down and creating little islands of obsidian.
I was mining away, but then i decided i wanted to see just how destructive lava is... so i got a bucket, and went to a hill just outside my incredible mine, and poured lava onto it, which set the forest on fire. So i ran to the lake next to me and jumped in, filled my bucket with water, and got rid of the lava. I filled my bucket up again and went to survey the damage. The massive unnatural cobblestone deposit lead me to a natural cave. That was absolutely HUGE, and had a series of natural watervators going straight to the bottom. Where there was a fucking massive lava lake. So i attacked it with my bucket of water, made about 1000 obsidian, and mined out about 20 diamonds and 30 gold, along with uncountable amounts of iron, redstone and coal. And couldn't find my way out. So i dug up, almost suffocated and then almost drowned right after unsuffocating. I came out in a lake, but to be more specific, the lake next to my base.
Then my world got corrupted after my computer crashed.
I started a new one and am trying to evel knievel(sp?) my way over the ice lake next to my spawn in a minecart.
EDIT: I made another word with that "Afro-American" seed. That IS incredible. I spawned next to a dungeon. Creepers came out. I beat them with my ink sack.
