I was being chased by a small army of spiders, and I was backpeddling like mad. This was early in the game, so I only had a stone sword and a leather hat. Just as the army was about to catch me, from the right side of my screen a creeper appeared from nowhere.
I was close enough to activate his explosion, and then instead of jumping into my face he nicely provided me protection. In short, just one spider was alive after his heroics.

Made a mineshaft to the bedrock on my SMP server with my friend, and blasted out a 200x200 square in the bedrock area, and got maybe 40 diamond, 60 redstone, huge amounts of iron and gold, and enough coal to power an infinite number of furnaces.
Fun.

My friend makes everyone who comes to his house build a little something in his world so the first time I played I did the typical things of building a statue and then a house but then I learned about making fountains. so I dug down to get some lava and made a fire fountain... but it was my first time doing something like that and long story short, his island no longer has a forest.

So i manage to get a bunch of mods working together (arrrrgs mod pack,humans, mo creatures mod)
and it goes like:
i start off on a beach side and thinking boring i go explore to a snow covered biome, to find a nice clearing by a mountain side, and ocean...it's looking nice...so wasting a good amount of the day finding the place i decide of all things to build a little wooden cabin to hide in for the night. managing to put a bed and torches together i find it safe for the night to test out the 'sleep' function.
I awake to a skeleton trying to kill me in the middle of night, with a stone sword i fight it off, and try to go back to sleep.....again another skeleton so i go to fight it off, and while i'm hacking away at it i hear a bunch of explosions outside...then BAM! a whole fuggin side of my house gone, and coming through it was an ogre of all things! so managing to get the skeleton the hell out of the way i rush through the front door to make it 3 meters to meet an arrow that kills me....
lol not the most original but it was a crazy occurance being accustomed to vanilla minecraft..LOL! i still keep whats left of the cabin around for giggles..xD
