I like it so much that I gifted it to two people just before it went into beta.

An amusing time-sink, and certainly innovative, but I bore quickly of it.

I bought it pre-beta, but I'd seriously buy this for $60. The game has nearly unlimited replayability, and its not even done yet!
Game of the decade. Notch deserves every penny of the millions he's made from it. It's that good.
It's going to do for procedurally generated worlds and emergent gameplay what Doom did for FPSs. Not the first, and its successors will look better, but there's going to a ton of second rate minecraft clones churned out by big companies over the next few years as they try to catch up and cash in, and chances are none of them will be as good.

I just noticed this and I can't refrain from posting. It's BOUGHT people, you didn't bring it somewhere, it was purchased. Sorry, this is my main pet peeve I just can't deal with it and I'm not normally a grammar Nazi in the slightest.Anime-Addicted said:

Although I run the risk of sounding cliche, it is what you make it. I personally love it. I think if people find it boring after a certain amount of time then that is when their imagination has exhausted itself of ideas.
I've played for periods of up to around 6 hours before and it's a million times better if you can team up with someone. Bouncing ideas off of eachother and thinking of what to do next is much more fun than playing on your own. Of course you also have the potential role playing aspects, along with endless custom skins. This game has so much potential already and it isn't even finished yet.

I quite like it and was going to get rid of my server a month ago because we were getting a bit bored of the game and all the lag. But saw a video of a group that made their own town and we decided to keep the server and make our own town after installing the same texture pack. Will have to make a video of it sometime.
Bought it in alpha, played for about 3 months, found twentymine.com love the community, that server makes it the best game ever in my opinion, been playing since july and im not bored of it yet, good sign me thinks
