I'm surprised you didn't have Bioshock 2 on the list though, that was definitely up with the best games of the year for me, along with Galaxy 2.
I enjoyed Bioshock 2 a lot, but it didn't grab me the way the first did. It was a better game in every way, it just didn't have the same 'wow'! factor of the original. I think it's because it was too similar.

I'm sure Ininite will be exactly what the series needs now.

A good list, I suppose, but mine would have looked different. If anything, I'd have ditched ME2 and replaced it with Transformers: War for Cybertron (not necessarily at the same rank in my list), and possibly Darksiders could have found its way on my list as well.
I tried the Darksiders demo man, didn't like it much. It felt like a less charming version of Zelda with all the heart and soul ripped out.

As for War For Cybertron, it's still selling at an exttortionate price here in Ireland. Not sure why. I shall be getting it as soon as it drops!

I suppose it comes down to personal preference, as always. The only Zelda game I ever beat was Wind Waker, and the wonderful charm it exuded was probably the main reason I kept playing... the other ones, where Link looks like a young adult, just don't have that quality, and if they're trying to sell the games on the merits of puzzles and action, well, Darksiders is more appealing to me on both counts... though Darksiders admittedly doesn't have the iconic jingles for opening treasure chests and solving puzzles. ^^

As for WfC, really? That's a shame. Over here it sells for less than 30 Euros on Amazon (the UK import version, that is). Maybe they'll release another version along the line that includes all of the DLC? :\

Great top 5 games. Haven't played Red Dead but I plan to get Brotherhood next year. I actually made a vid with some of 2010's best games:

2011 however, looks to be something legendary.

Are any of the DCLS for the single campaign or are they just multiplayer stuff? Cos to be honest I've no interest in the multi! Kinda sick of multi in general at the mo.

Assuming that was your only major problem with Bayonetta, I'd try the game now.

If there were other problems, well, I just taught you something nice, but I can't fix those.
That was the main thing. And I didn't like the protagonist. But the combat was great, as were the set pieces.
Well, then. I think it's pretty cheap now, I'd totally pick it up if you liked the combat.

Nice work, I enjoyed that. Is Singularity worth getting?

OK it's on my list, along with War For Cybertron, Fable 3 and all those goddamn great games coming out in early 2011!

It's a solid rental. You could probably buy it for around $50AU, though I don't know if the multiplayer is any good. It's got a great story and the weapons, as well as the TMD (Time Manipulation Device) are pretty darn amazing.

I'd scratch off War for Cybertron until it's under $20.

The multiplayer is solid when you find a good match, but most of the time, it's a laggy mess. It feels like it picks the host randomly, not based on best connection, even. I don't know if it does, but it FEELS like it does.

And the campaign is only good for 1-2 runs.

As far as I know it's all multiplayer. The deficiencies Onyx mentioned are indeed present, but hey, it's still the most fun I've ever had in multiplayer, and that's coming from a guy who usually couldn't be arsed to even try that component of a game.

Well....there is bullet spread, you can shoot through walls, and the iron sights are not always right.
Here's a better example, watch the last two clips. This happens me about every 5 minutes in Black Ops. It's pointless even trying sometimes.

Yeah, the last one is pretty unbelievable!

My buddies were joking around last night saying they were going to get me a proper internet connection for Christmas as they're sick of hearing me raging down the microphone :D

Nice choices all around Miracle. Though I don't think I'll ever get NV or Brotherhood and don't quite see the appeal of them myself.

I laughed a bit here and there, smooth writing there criminal.
Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it.

I'd recommend Brotherhood and New Vegas to anyone who likes open world games, if that's not your thing give em a skip as they but have some irritating flaws. I love them though because there's so damn much to do in them!

Well it's not the genres I don't like. It's the what seems to be cash-ins that they are. I don't want to support Obsidian due to their track record and Ubisoft could of innovated a hell of a lot more given that their IP allows them to pretty go wherever the hell they want to without breaking the story. And they whore themselves on Ezio again.

That's why I would pass on these games, plus NV is still gonna be buggy, and I'll wait till AC 3 as that will have even better combat anyway.

Also, no money. :p
Sorry for late reply.

I have to admit I was worried that NV and Brotherhood would be cash ins, but they are both good value games in thier own right with far too many new features and mechanics to be considered add ons. They both have much better combat than the previous games too (ACB has an Arkham Asylum style combo thingy and NV you can finally aim down sights)

In fact the only way they feel similar to the games they are built from is in the graphics and physics engines.

Well, this is hardly suprising Miracle! What is suprising is how your top 5 list is almost an exact copy of mine, with a couple of mix arounds maybe and the fact that I won't be getting Enslaved: Odyssey to the West until Christmas (And so therefore, Alan Wake takes its place). Brilliant and totally on-spot review!

One question, do you actually get any actual reward for even getting 100 Sync in all the missions anyway? If not, then what is really the point?

Once you get 75% sync you unlock the final Christina Mission, which to me was the best moment of story content in the game. Thank the gods of ancient Rome it didn't require a full 100% sync!

Alan Wake nearly made my top 5 as did Black Ops and Metro 2033, but I hated the combat in it so it got relegated!
