"Mirror's Edge" Demo.

Does anyone know if a PC demo will be released in the near future? As I can't find a Demo of it out now or anything about it for PC with all the xbox360/ps3 hype at the moment.

As far as I'm aware its console only...?

Nope they're making a PC version of it, but it doesn't drop until December 11th

According to my game.co.uk preorder, it's shipping on the 14th of november

That's the Xbox 360 or PS3 version, not the PC

On that note, anyone think this game has a chance of getting a positive review from Yahtzee?

at the end of the e3 review he said it was looking pretty good (holy crap how do i know that?) as for the demo i'm a little afraid you could get stuck if you lose momentum at certain points but it didn't happen to me yet

Well, in my opinion this should not ever be played with mouse + keyboard, but that's just me.
Just seems like a console game through and through.

I really enjoyed the demo, and I kind of forgot about the game. So it jumped up on my to-buy list.

Then plug your controller into the USB if you think that this is unworthy of the mouse and keyboard. You're always the guy who says "I'm glad other people will get to play it" when something is multiplatform anyway, so how come you don't want me playing on my PC huh?! (I'm just messing with you, don't take this personally)

I got bored of waiting for PC released demo so got it on the xbox 360. Despite sucking at the controls it was fairly enjoyable. I however don't see it as being all that revolutionary so I shall just wait till it drops in price before getting it.

Anyone tried it? I absolutely fell in love with this game the moment I first laid eyes on the first gameplay trailer, and the demo definitely re-assures me that I didn't waste five dollars on the pre-order.

On that note, anyone think this game has a chance of getting a positive review from Yahtzee? I mean, that isn't to say that I don't think Yahtzee won't find something about the game to niggle about, but at face value, it does have elements to it that makes it his type of game i.e. a game that does something completely different from every other game in the market and a heroine that looks like a person we'd see in real life. I'm quite sure that he'd enjoy it a damned lot more than that brainless piece of garbage, Gears of War 2.

I think he'll actually love it (stay with me here), cause it's sort of a hybrid of elements from both Portal and Prince of Persia, which he's professed to be two of his favorite games of all time.

The game looks really great (from videos etc) but I don't have a console so haven't been able to check out the demos yet. And I'm very much afraid that when it finally does come out on PC it'll have the same online activation crap as Mass Effect and Spore. This makes me sad.

OT: I love the demo. I'm definitly getting the full game eventually. Not when it's released, because I already bought GoW2 and Fallout 3 so I've got enough to do at the moment, but I will in a month or two.

I'm very very very very very fucking keen for this game. Looks brilliant, and is fun to play and still quite challenging.

My one criticism about the Demo is that its too damn short.

Thats probably so they don't reveal too much of the story, and to make you want it even more. I agree the demo is fun, one the first FPS style games im acctualy enjoying.

I think it's great. The overall presentation of it is excellent - the music, the background story, the characters.

Not to detract from the good games that they are in their own right, but it sure is a refreshing change from angry-dark-haired-badass-becomes-violent-with-various-guns-in-beige-post-apocalyptic/post-war-landscape (episode 4), such as GoW2, Fallout 3, ad infinitum.

Been playing the demo and finding it good fun.
Gave up on using the PS3 motion controls though just couldn't get the hang of using them for balance or rolling.

Will say one thing though, this is not a game to be played drunk. Got back from a late nighter and tried it out.
Nearly re-visited my kebab....

Not sure if to play it with the runners vision thing on or not...

I loved the demo however me and a few friends worry it might turn out to be a little linear. That aside i ADORE the idea of a race mode.
