The game was actually fairly easy with the exception of the Water Temple's in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess annoying bastards they were.

Is that the reason he's making it easier? To compensate for the insanities that are Water Temples? Well bullocks to that Shigeru-san games nowadays need more levels like those to prove their gaming machoness.

Nintendo must like getting made fun of by gamers. Or they like money, I'm not sure which.

What we need is an entire game of Water Temples.

Put some God damn hair on your chest, that would.
It would also make these so called "hardcore gamers" these days cry. Which, admittedly, would be fun to watch.

exclusive motion plus control? Well, guess I won't be getting this one, then.

Its likely they'll bundle the motion plus thing with the game.

OT: Zelda games? Hard?

When did this happen?

NO!
NO NO NO!
I just finished that Temple not an hour ago.
HELL NO.

I remembered about the Key in a room at the bottom of the Central Tower this time around but Completely forgot about several Walls that could be blown up near the entrance of the Temple.
Needless to say i spent at least 45 Min backtracking through almost evey room in the Damn place.
Once i found the room i was looking for....i felt ashamed.

What?! They weren't even particularly challenging to start with!

Fuck the younger generation! I want to enjoy my Zelda, dammit!
I don't think it's so much the younger generation, as it is the idea that if you make something shiny and self-esteem raising enough ("YOU LOGGED IN WITHOUT TYPOING, HERE'S AN ACHIEVMENT"), then people who don't actually play games will somehow end up buying the game.

Of course, unless they somehow intergrate the game into a product non-gamers actually use (i.e facebook), then I don't see how this is going to help at all.... Not that I should be giving them ideas or anything.

In short I'd change your statement to something more like "Fuck people".

I think anyone old enough to succesfully operate a controller (any controller) can manage a Zelda game.

All that being said, I'm sure I'd still get it :) Thankfully there's games like I Wanna Be The Guy to satisfy any masochistic urges I might have, gameplay wise.

I've always thought Zelda games were perhaps too easy in the area of combat and boss fights. I guess some later dungeons got a bit annoying, not particularly hard.

I feel making it easier means that it's time the Zelda games are being passed down to the younger generation. I mean I always wanted a harder Zelda game, but then how is the eleven year old boy next to me gonna complete it? The audience I was when I first fell in love with the series.

But I'm definitely gonna keep with the series. Easy or not, it's still the classic adventure game.

In Master Quest there is a extra key in the Water Temple, that had me looking high and low for where it goes.

It seems to me easier to play doesnt necessarily mean easier to BEAT per se. Seems more like hes dumbing down the controlls rather than the game difficulty.

"Easier to play" =/= Easier difficulty

Easier to play could refer to gameplay mechanics thats make the micro-managing easier and less of a pain.

Things like The Water Temple (because its always the Water Temple), and hints telling you when and where to activate your special abilities (Ex. OOT had many spots where it didnt make it clear whether or not to use your ocarina, or what song to play).

In which case, I wouldnt mind a less annoying Water Temple and a more intuitive interface.

Well, I never played a Zelda game, but to me his statement may mean that they're not lowering the difficulty, but instead making the controls and features easier to use. But like I said, I don't really know if that's an usual complain in Zelda games.

Nope. And it's hard to ignore it.
I'll say, any thread involving Nintendo always has people saying they hate it. Why can't people leave Nintendo alone if they don't like them? I don't like other game companies but I don't scream it from the rooftops for everyone to hear.

There's a difference, I think, between making a game "easier" and making it "easier to play." The Wii release of Twilight princess uses every depressible button on the Wii remote, and you still need to constantly be managing your D-pad's inventory keys. Understandably, it's a lot for someone who's new to the whole concept to keep track of.

If they can make the game less obtrusive for a player to interact with, that's a good thing.

Another key!?
FFFFFFFFF i cant tell you how many times i followed the "Flow of the Dungeon" to a locked room and i had no Key for it.
I spent i thing at the very least 2 hours on the Water Temple the first time i beat it.

And i remember finding the Game Booklet for Master Quest while staying with a friend and i asked him about it.
I though it was like Links Awakening DX, that it would have just a few Bonuses.
I was scared when he told me that they added Rooms and more Puzzles to the dungeons.

Well, It doesn't seem like he's going to make the puzzles or combat easier, just the controls more simplified. Or at least that's what i thought.
