MMORPG Games - What are you?

Mostly a tank. Sometimes a healer. Never really got into dps, tank and healer is where the real challenge is at.

I can deal a good amount of damage, but i die embarrassingly easily

In WoW, I have raided in all four raid roles in level 80 25-mans: Ranged DPS, Melee DPS, Healer, Tank.

I have to say its a tossup between healer and melee DPS.

(And they were all on a Druid)

I prefer DPS characters, especially stealth classes.

Also, I don't quite understand the Crowd Controller you listed. Maybe its because I've only played WoW, but I've never seen a class devoted to debuffs and CC.

I always play a tank because I value survivability above everything else. I don't mind if I don't get the top score or the most kills because I usually die less than the majority of people around me and tanks are often more valued than other classes that don't fill in as important a role. If all the tank options suck in a game I'm playing I choose to be a high hp dps character.

I used to play MapleStory - Have to say it was one of my favourites, but i don't quite understand why - The graphics were just really appealing to me.

Whatever is needed. Generally that is the healer. I like being needed. Though in a more role-playign based game I will be quite varied. (My favorite NWN character was no healer, trust me)

Dang; the only "real" MMO I've ever gotten into was Runescape, and you are all of the roles at the same time. But generally I play as a tanker.

geez your thick. I was making a joke. Although it's kind of based on truth. MMO's are a big waste of time, and I've wasted enough of my time to know that. I use to play a CC rogue on WoW, but since CC isn't valued anymore in that game, I'm not wanted.

"geez your thick". Well, that showed me. And no, it's not a joke; MMOs are huge wastes of time, and thats all anyone asks of them.

On-topic, though, I *did* play a Ranger on MapleStory, and it was a hybrid.

I am an altaholic. On WoW my favorite was the druid so Offtank/DPS/Healer/Buff. Also had at least one of everything else on the horde side. Have since departed for the greener hills of the Shire on LotRo where my altaholism is still rampant. Have my runekeeper for Heal/DPS and my burglar for CC/DPS

Yea, when did you quit playing? They added a whole new branch (pirates, that's what I am), and a new job for every class.

I was actually playing like, a few months ago, i've been on when the pirates have been kicking about

I think i'm a level 45 or 46 Spearman - I had a bunch of maple items from an event like, 4 years ago but i just keep quiting the game and then coming back to it a while later

I moved onto WoW for it.

Yea, in one month MapleGlobal gets the Knights of Cygnus job branch, a completely new way to MAKE THE GAME AWESOME. Check it out, its already out in MapleSEA and KMS (korean maple story)
