Modern Warfare 2 is this a "NOOB" tactic

When I played it last my build consisted of:

Any gun with grenade launcher attachment
Thumper grenade launcher
Scavanger Pro
Danger Close

Is this a noob tactic?

Nope. It's called Sniping. What you do is what a real-life sniper would.

thank you, so many people on COD call themselves a sniper when they have stopping power instead of coldblood and a thermal instead of a silencer. if you look at the SAS in real-life this is what they do

also the ghillie suit is an added bonus which noone seems to use, in the right spots on every map you can go prone and be almost invisible.

i got the last laugh on one of the griefers, i sneaked up on him got prone and sent a reply on PSN saying "turn around", when he turned around i put a knife in his face. he replied saying "you cock", i replied saying "you retard, you shouldve seen me coming", and he got really defensive and eventually backed off in shear embarassment

Op: It's perfectly legit. Especially because it's a silenced, non stopping power sniper. Makes it harder to use and more satisfying to get a kill.

this is basically the same tactic as I use, but with the m9 so I don't think it's "NOOB", it's just a clever way of playing

just so you know, the silencer on the m9 is broken. you still show up on the radar. a better pistol in my opinion is the usp anyway. but theres really no reason to use pistols because the rafficas are pulled out as fast as pistols, and there literally pocket m16s

My suggestion would be to do exactly what you are doing, but do it on Hardcore. No kill cam. You will rack up kills and REALLY piss people off because they will have a harder time finding you. Good luck!

From what you say, you did exactly what you wewe supposed to do. You killed without being killed. If that's a noob tactic in the eyes of your opponents, maybe they believed that they were on a JRPG or other game where you flash your arse at the enemy and then spend five minutes taking it in turns punching each other until someone dies of chronic boredom? Or maybe they are the noobs and need to learn to lose gracefully before joining the big boy table. Sorry for the rant. This kind of thing happens to me ALL THE DAMN TIME and it pisses me off.

I try to play tactically, but most people just run around and it doesn't work. I guess you just do it way better than me.

when i play games like this i love to "batman" ppl.(yes i made up my own verb and it is batman shut up) ill knife the first guy run into a building that i know well enough that i can go through it blindfolded and kill the the enemies that try to get me in the building. its pretty funny but rarely works.the enemies are like holy sht a dark blur goes by and the person next to him is dead. ( i know batman doesnt kill ppl shut up)

You're doing nothing wrong, and actually using some legit tactics. I respect you more for not running around with duel 1887's (which looks dumb as hell) or using the grenade launcher. The craziest match I had was against someone like you. It was scary, but exciting, not knowing where they were. I love this stuff. XD

I've always thought that the M21 was a pretty ridiculous weapon. It is basically an assault rifle with a scope but still that seems like a reasonable class. I would enjoy facing you because you do the exact opposite of how I usually play haha.

well ninja is more along the lines that the enemy does not know where u r. I mean my first "bait" kill is a ninja but the rest of them know where i am, im just running around the house jumping out windows and sht. whenever i actually do manage to do so (rarely), it reminds more along the lines of that scene in batman begins where hes taking out all the thugs. all the crooks know he in the vicinity but hes moving around soo iradicaly and un predictably that they cant get a lock on him.

Don't get annoyed, get even. I would track him down and knife him. Or if you are in a hurry, grenades work well.

Let's just face it, if you play that game, and you're good at it, people are going to call you a noob. You could run and gun with the most useless perks and be called a noob if you kill someone.
