I have yet to be nuked or to nuke, so I'm not even sure what my accurate response would be, though it wouldn't be positive because I hate cheap finishes.

The three times i've been nuked the player had hacked the game and was either unreachable or unkillable so i didn't care when it went off.

Who the hell gets a nuke? The closest I've came is a 13-kill streak, I was pissed that I didn't have the AC-130 equipped. I've been level 70 for a month now, not that level is a measure of skill, but still. I've seen all of two nukes detonated, and I've lost at least 20 times that amount of games to goddamn connection issues. IW.net is far worse then the nuke.

Ehh.. I can GUARANTEE no one will get a nuke with me in the game.. I use Stingers.

And besides, I have only gotten 3 of them so far (been playing since release) ... and only by camping like a sorry be-otch.

Nah, not hard.

Agree with all of that... I recently quit MW2 too.

The nuke is annoying and it should be banned completely from objective based games.

Alright, sorry.

Why do I think the game is ruined? Well....

For starters, the spawn system is horrible. I've been put in front of enemies countless times, not to mention the number of times they've spawned behind me. I know some of them were just tactical insertions, but for the most part, it was the game being incompetent. I was playing a match once where the score was 7300-7400. I killed a guy who the proceeded to spawn directly behind me, and knife me. Yes, there was no tactical insertion.

The maps also really bother me. A lot of times, when someone is taking cover behind a wall, I can only see the very tip of their head. And yet they can still see me perfectly. This was present in COD4 and WaW as well, but it appears a lot more in MW2.

Killstreaks are also a pain. I know they're balanced, and it isn't hard to shoot them down when you have a good team, but that's just it: I rarely have a team who shoots down air support. When I hear that NPC voice yelling that an enemy chopper gunner is inbound, a feeling of dread grows within me, knowing that I will be the only person to shoot it down. And while I'm trying to shoot it down, it's sitting there spraying in every possible direction, killing me in the process.

Then there are all the glitches this game has. I can understand issues with the maps' geometry, that's bound to happen, but things like the infinite care package glitch, the bling'd 1887s, the javelin glitch, all of those are extremely game breaking to me. I joined 3 games yesterday, and in all of them, someone was doing the infinite care package glitch. The amount of air support was ridiculous. I would shoot down a Cobra just to have it replaced by a Pave Low and a Harrier.

My last issue, aside from the lag, is balance in general. Games tend to be very one-sided, with some games ending 2700-10000, or 41-200. On top of that, you have things like the models and the tactical knife. The models have way more range than they should, making it extremely hard to kill people using them. My issue with the tactical knife is that you pretty much always lose knife fights, even when it seems that you knife first on your screen. I wouldn't mind this if people didn't run around using it exclusively.

So, yeah, that's why I think that.

I've only been nuked about 5 times since release, and 3 of them came in consecutive matches, with the same guy using the nuke setup. (which I didn't know about at the time.) it really doesn't bug me, since if someone gets to 25 kills, either his team is mopping the floor with you, or if they're somehow still losing, or it's close, his teammates are so piss poor he deserves the win for himself.

My only bugging comes from the fact that it shortens the deathmatch. Haven't nuked anyone yet though.

You know, I've heard that before, but I've just never experienced that. Granted I usually play team deathmatch, but most of the time when I spawn, I have to run back to the action. I'm hardly ever dropped directly into a firefight. I've only received the Shortest Life 'achievement' once, and it was on Rust, which has a capacity of 4 people anyways. is this more of an issue in domination or the other gamestyles? because I've just not experienced this.

I've had the nuke used at least six or seven times since I started playing it. I'll rage whilst its happening, but looking back its not a major deal; they've usually been incredibly one-sided games.
I don't mind them if the guy getting them has earned them, rather than just camping or sprinting about weilding a knife like a B movie slasher...

I've made a habit of never playing free for all after about 3pm, once school gets out all of my matches are filled with "boosters." For those who don't know, a "Nuke Booster" is a person who uses tactical insertions and a friend to get an easy 25 killstreak, effectively ruining a game early on. The worst part is when you discover them, only to be killed by someone who has no idea its going on yet only saw me running to where I thought they were and not the ass hats boosting in the first place. Its a big problem for me because Free For All is the mode I play 90% of the time.

You want to know what my thoughts are? EVERY DAY the MW2 fanboy club in my school go to every godamn boy in the school and brag about their nukes. I lie so they think I'm the best player ever at it :)

It has happened in most gamemodes for me. I've lost track of the number of times that I've watched myself be killed twice in one kill cam.

Once, when playing team death match, I was at a 23 kill streak, when a sniper spawned behind me. It didn't even make sense as to why he spawned there, since his teammates were all across the map and I was pretty much surrounded by teammates.

Or how in demolition the opposing team always spawns on top of their bomb sites when they defend, but when my team is defending, we spawn halfway across the map from our bomb site.
