Modern Warfare 3 Teased for June Announcement

Why do people hate Modern Warfare so much here on The Escapist? I really think the MW games are amazing, both of them. The second one had INCREDIBLE music and so many dynamic/cinematic-like moments that blew my mind. And the sniper mission with MacMillan is when I became a fan of the (Modern Warfare) series.

Plus, it has possibly one of my favorite game soundtracks ever [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GWnSj0gPWs&feature=related] (composed by the one and only - Hans Zimmer, alongside Lorne Balfe). Escaping from the favela while parkouring along rooftops and dodging bullets is twice as epic when Mr. Zimmer gets involved.

Is it really necessary for Modern Warfare 3 bring new gameplay? When I play Call Of Duty, I just want to shoot people and do some epic stuff along the way.

I'm sorry, I needed to let that out of me. I'm tired of people not giving it a chance. For me, it's one of the more impressive shooters on the market.

OT: This is very welcome news for me. I absolutely cannot wait.

I know SOME people here hate it because they are douchy hipsters that are "OH SO DIFFERENT."
Others just don't like Modern Shooters/CoD.
Also, why does it seem I have to be on one side of the fence on the MW3/BF3 shtick, I want both!

I mean do reveals really matter for cod games? everyone knows when they come out, they come out the same time every year and so far they have all looked pretty similar and had almost the same gameplay

Never know, with raven behind the helm there, it could have some pretty good ideas up its sleeve. Wait, I just thought about that for a second. Its an Activision game, its going to be EXACTLY THE SAME AS MW2.

Most likely all the hate as they aren't "intellectual", but also for the fact that since CoD makes money, people want to emulate it to the slightest detail, bogging down FPS's with "realistic war shooters". I realized while CoD has some flaws, you have to enjoy it for what is: A high octane action movie shooter. Nothing more, nothing less. I just hope they make non-broken multiplayer.

I never said people who hate CoD are dumb. Everyone has their own opinion. I've said why I love CoD, now I just want to hear the people who -hate- CoD. Why do they? I know it's overhyped and that it's mainly about making money but overall it's actually not a bad series. There are MUCH worse games out there.

Plus, Sledgehammer said Modern Warfare 3 will be the best Call Of Duty game yet, aiming for a metacritic score of 95 or higher. It sounds too ambitious but... I hope it turns out great.

Oh, no I wasn't meaning to say that they are dumb. Sorry if i came off like that, I was just giving a reason why some people don't like it.

The grenade launcher to afford the scope?

i wont be surprised if you start lvl 0 off with classes perfectly suited to the cheapest playstyles right off the bat, so the games play the same for the entire life of this game. Certainly sounds like the "progress" bland shooters are making now.

Thats not entirely true, at lvl 1 you get the tactical nuke gun of nukey-ness death! And at lvl 60, 100000000 prestige, you get a sniper rifle that everyone hates!
