So, I'm try to do the Wild Card: You and What Army for Yes Man, which involved going to the Fort to fool around with the bunker and whatnot.

This would be easy, except I'm vilified by the Legion. Which causes them to all want to kick my ass. Including Caesar, who I need to get to to get into Mr. House's bunker.

What do I do to get them to like me more/stop killing me?

Thanks,
Pimp

Use your chosen weapon on them until everything is left as a bloody pulp?

I'm prepared to do that if unnecessary, but, I mean, getting blood all over you is so Mortal Kombat. I'm trying to avoid having to commit genocide on them.

Stealth boys could get you up to Caesar's Tent if you're careful.. once you're in there you're going to have to fight though, bring a flamer or something because there's tons of them all trying to give you a hug.

While the only way to remove all your infamy with Ceaser's Legion is that one part when you get "The Mark of Ceaser". But considering you are doing "You and what army" I'm going to assume you got all this infamy after getting the Mark. So, your only option is to kill all the Legion, hope you got lots of ammo.

Once you're vilified, you pretty much can't go back, they'll always attack on sight. Your only option is to kill them all at this point.

...why? I mean, not to put too fine a coat on it, but Caesar's Legion are a bunch of slaving, misogynistic assholes and the only place for them is on the receiving end of a Fat-Man's money-shot.

Genociding them seems like an appropriate response.

You could try sneaking I guess.

There's a console command to change the reputation, and there is a one-time reset as part of the story, but I do believe you've already had that.

I just talked my way out of everything in the game, its pretty much the equilivant to being invisible all the time in Crysis 2.

a) The lower level members of The Legion should be friendly to you if you Wear a legion uniform

b) Sneak your way to Caesar's tent (Still would need a Uniform so that Caesar won't be hostile)

c) Wait until a certain point in the story where you get express permission from Caesar to enter the Camp (If you've already passed this point then your can't do this option) You get the permission from a Legion Member on the Strip after you first exit the Lucky 38 I believe.

d) Kill them all - You don't need Caesar to help you get into the Bunker

e)Sneak to the bunker

f)Go to The Fallout wiki and figure out a different way

As a side note you don't need Caesar's help to get into the bunker (If I remember things correctly) and killing him is nothing but a good thing anyways

I hope this helps

I have a question on a similar topic, maybe someone here can enlighten me...

I just made this same mission for Mr. House / Wild Card (not decided yet which side I'll take), and after I activated the console, Caesar was happy and mentioned that I destroyed everything. Is this a bug or is Caesar that much of a moron?

Those two aren't mutually exclusive! :p

I honestly don't know. Reload a backup save (You do have backup saves, right?) and re-do it, see if anything's different?

Wear a disguise. As long as you don't go into the Caesar's tent, no one should attack you. You don't actually need to speak to the man to progress the quest. Just go to a shack in the very back of the camp. There are three Legion guys inside the shack who may attack you (can't remember), but no one else will be hostile towards you.

Alternatively, you can use stealth boys. But Legion uniforms should be easy to come by if you're vilified by them. But in case you're having trouble finding uniforms:

-Fast travel to the the Repconn HQ building. A legion ambush often happens there (I know I was ambushed there three or four times in my last playthrough, so I figure being near that location must trigger it). There are some other places where ambushes seem to happen often as well (halfway between Goodsprings and Primm).

-Near a Ranger Station (Charlie, I think), there is a small Legion camp where they are holding hostages. Take Boone with you to this spot if you can. Killing all the Legion there and freeing the hostages earns you "points" that will help trigger his personal quest. From the Ranger station, you have to head back like you're going to Nipton. Instead of staying on the road, venture off into the first set of hills you get to (pretty much right next to the station). I think you can have this spot revealed on the map to you if you talk to Boxcars in Nipton.

-Go to Cottonwood Cove (I'm assuming you already have if you've been to The Fort, though). Bring lots of ammo and some really good armor. And again, bring Boone. You get points towards his quest for killing all the Legion here too. You can get some cool looking Centurion armor here too. And you can free some slaves.

I prefer disguises over stealth boys. Make sure to not take Boone with you to The Fort. He attacks any Legion he sees on sight.

level up to around 20 or 25, do as many side quests as you can, get some nice power armor (and learn how to use it), Get Boone, push your way to Caesar's tent, kill everyone there, put mines all around the entrance, keep back with a high powered weapon ready in case you run out of mines, once they're all gone loot Caesar, be on your way.

ooooooooooor if you have the wild wasteland perk you can just go to the north-most point of the map and get the Alien Blaster, which insta-kills almost everything (just don't waste all your ammo, you can't get more)

Did you activate the console that activates the securitron army? If so then it is because he feels a rumble and assumes it was from the securitrons and generators blowing up.

I know that he thought making an enemy of the Courier was a good idea. That's pretty much a certificate of retardation right there.

When does he try to make you an enemy of him on purpose?

The only reason he'll hate you is if you openly attack him in some kind of way...you know...just like every other character and faction in the game except for Yes Man?

Normally after you leave the Tops after Benny escapes or you kill him you are contacted by the Legion and they offer you amnesty. I normally used this to get in and activate the army.
