Video games in Australia are roughly equal to titties in America. Neither cause any real damage but they MUST BE CENSORED TO PROTECT THE CHILDREN!!!sidereal_day said:A little off topic I know, but can you explain to me (and everyone else) how Australia works exactly when it comes to banning/allowing games? The rules seem pretty dictatorial for a democracy. Thanks.Andronicus said:Yeah, I thought the same thing. Well, looks like it's safe to assume at this point that Australia sure as hell won't be getting Fable 3!Xan Krieger said:Fox news will be all over this. "OMG CHILD CRUELTY! PROTECT THE CHILDREN!"there will be a "touch" mechanic in Fable 3 that will allow players to punish or play with children
Child makes fun of old lady who falls over.
You punish said child with light flick on the ear.
Michael Atkinson: "OH MY GOD, IT'S A CHILD TORTURE SIMULATOR! QUICK! BURN IT! BURN IT WITH FIRE! PROTECT TEH KIDDIES!!
I'm not concerned with your personal feelings on the game. I was only pointing out how foolish it would be to consider the design choices mentioned making fable 3 "not a game". If a table is wobbly, I don't shout "That's not a TABLE!" And the thought of your post being serious is just the kind of over-reactionary BS that infuriates me.Mcface said:Did you play fable 2?vivaldiscool said:Goodness I hope you're not serious.Mcface said:SO.
No armor, no health, no mana, cant die...THIS IS NOT A VIDEO GAME ANYMORE.
Sounds like they're changing fable into a story driven adventure game rather than a P&P based RPG, which is A-Okay with me. Maybe the re-classification will cut down on some of the mindless vitriol.
No mana, you couldn't die, ever, no armor.
What is the point of a game if there is no challenge?
You can go through the entire game with the stuff you start out with.

All the Fable games have pretty litesauce with the story compared to ALMOST ANY OTHER GAME EVER. What is the story to Fable 1 and 2...
It's just proof that "Just because you can doesn't mean you should" holds some weight.s69-5 said:That really stood out in the article when I read it. First Milo, now this... Maybe Molyneux has a few skeletons in his closet? Just sayin'Jbird said:And being able to abuse children? Who wants that?!
i think that was added in just so Yahtzee can live his dream (Molyneux contacted him the last time, so why not?)Jbird said:And being able to abuse children? Who wants that?! (Yes, I know Yahtzee pointed that out in his review.)
If a table has no legs, is made out of wet cardboard, then it is no longer a table.vivaldiscool said:I'm not concerned with your personal feelings on the game. Yes, that's right. All game play will be controlled by a single button. We call the the button the "Play" button. It can be found on your remote control. I think in all reality Molyneux is secretly trying to beat Hideo Kojima to making the first video game that you don't actually play..Tom Goldman said:Is it that Fable 3 is going to be controlled by a single button? No. Could it be that Fable 3 has become a puzzle game? Also no. Instead, it sounds like something that would actually make gamers happy, and involves "simplification."
