Try installing it to your harddrive. My xbox kept crapping up on a mission on Saints Row. Crashed at the same exact moment every time so, installed it to the disc, bam, game works fine. Same with Left 4 Dead. Disc had a crack in the center somehow so the screen glitched sometimes. Installed to hard drive, problem sovled (Although it took a few tries to gt my xbox to read the disc for startup)

Anyway, yeah, try installing your disc to the hard drive

In all seriousness. I've had a non-readable 360 for a month now. It works minus the disc drive.

You might want to check your xbox after that, my sister did the same thing right when I got my first one and it started eating disks after that, it killed both Dead Rising and Oblivion.

it kills good games(Dead Rising, Oblivion) and it kills bad ones (MW2!!!!)

My router broke my copy of MW2. Well, by broke, I mean prevented me from playing online. I've completed single player, and done as much of spec ops as I could with a housemate before it got ridiculous (kill 10 juggernauts using only explosives... Not gonna happen), so it's now essentially useless. Stupid NAT setting, changing to strict for no reason...

Mine changes between strict and normal when it feels like it. I can still play though. What's a NAT type anyway?

This. My cousin has had a disc ruined that way as well. The system looks better standing on its side, but it loses nearly all of its stability and as soon as it tilts the disc goes bye-bye. Never, ever stand the 360 up!

Buy a disc new to you, but used. That way you won't waste too much more money. What you're talking about sounds un-fixable with any kind of cleaner, so I'd just get a new disc. Or borrow a friend's, I guess.
