FFVII - Aeris' death
Worms Armageddon - A lucky shot in multi-player scored me 8 kills and over 1000 points of damage
Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge - Watching my friend Bill pull out the ultimate come from behind victory on the moon level.

When the elevator fell out of the sky in ODST. (You'll know what I mean if you played it.)

Also, the helicopter grab scene in Mirror's Edge, the R-bomb in KOTOR, the climax in RF:G, the Ending of Republic Commando, and the first hunter scene in Half-life 2: Episode 1

Yes, a thousand times yes. No other moment in gaming was ever so potent and suprising.
I'm not sure if I'd say surprising, but yes, certainly potent. It's one of those cutscenes that stands out so vividly in my memory that it's not even funny.

The fight against Yami in Okami.
That was a ridiculously grand boss fight, combined with a complete mindfuck

I came all this way to fight some evil cyborg baby seal thing?
Yami was cool, but he just sort of appeared, all they say is "Yeah, that guy's the Lord of Darkness... somehow, go fight him. But the music makes up for that.

Final Fantasy X was the first game I played that had CGI, which blew my god damn mind. Every cut-scene was epic and so realistic compared to the N64 I used to rock.

Also when I first stepped in the wastes in Fallout 3. The landscape had so much detail and potential that it made my pants feel funny.

Also on Fallout 3, when I stood on the balcony at ten penny tower, I looked out with my sniper rifle and saw the Washington monument, and all I could think about was how crazy it is that if I wanted to, I could run there and it would take me an hour!

The first reveals of virtually every colossus in Shadow of the Colossus.

In the final stage of the UEF campaign in Supreme Commander where after destroying the first enemy base the map size suddenly DOUBLED and no less than FOUR Cybran Monkeylords and a huge army of smaller units began storming down towards the objective I was ordered to defend.

The first time I saw the opening cutscenes of Onimusha 3, Final Fantasy VIII and Shadow Hearts Covenant.

Oh yes, great "wait...WHAT?" Moment...like the big surprise ending in Bioshock.

Also:

- Too Many Moments of Half Life 2 and it's sequels to count

- The whole finale of Mass Effect

- Seeing that recently sunken city in Gears of War 2...and the "real" opening with these transporter vehicle thingies

- The first Call of Duty 4 Mission along with...well, the shortest one

- Many Moments of Serious Sam, especially "The Second Encounter"

- Seeing the earth curvature in Just Cause

Crysis - I loved it when you tunred up inside the alien spaceship, no gravity and stars everywhere. Debris just floating around.. Was awesome.

I've got 2, both in Oblivion.

1. I fought a dude, his horse, and his pet demon down the side of a mountain, next to a waterfall. Was bad ass.

2. I watched, while sneaking of course, imps fight skeletons fight marauders fight goblins. It was a beautiful example of R.A.I. So I sat down to make this essentially a spectator sport, and just as my cheeks touched seat, BAM! Every last one of them forgot what ever horrible thing that started the giant clusterfuck, and decided to turn me into sushi. I didn't even have time to stand. It was beautiful.

The nuke scene in Call Of Duty 4 not just seeing it happen but playing as a character as they died.

The ending to Metal Gear Solid 3 it truly made the game excellent for me.

When I played it I felt overwhelmed. Especially when he took my powers.

"How the fuck am I supposed to fight this thing?"

I loved that bossfight.

The sinking boat scene in COD4:MW. Now, if only they had concentrated on making more of these awesome set pieces rather than have you continously stuck in battles, taking cover, shooting, and taking cover again.
