I just cleared my room of a recent infestation of bird mites from a recently vacated nest we had in our roof.

My landlord wasn't doing much about it so I just attacked my room with an metric fuckton of pesticides.

It hurts to breathe but I feel pretty boss right now.

Chopping a huge fallen branch into firewood in the middle of winter with a full-blown axe. Sure, it was harder than it looked, but that didn't stop it from being exceedingly manly.

Unblocking a smelly, clogged up outside drain with your hand. You smell, you're pissed off, you're hand has fuck knows what living on it (the gloves do NOTHING) and it'll be blocked again by next week but goddamn if you don't feel like a god.

More so if every ever fucker in the building was too bloody worried about what was in the water to do it. *snorts*

I'm a gardener sometimes, and there is no more manly feeling than ripping up vegetation. Especially when you get to a stubborn root, and so you furrow your brow and give it a single, firm pull and it frees itself from the earth right at the apex of your motion and you stand there for a second or so, dust settling in the air, root system held rigidly in your outstretched hand. It rarely happens like that, sometimes it takes a few pulls or you have to get better purchase or it breaks off at the ground or dirt flies into your face or some shit like that, but when it does, very manly.

EDIT: Oh and one time we did a bit of landscaping when we moved house and it didn't all fit in the bin, spent an hour beating it in with a crowbar. More of a maniac feeling in that case, but there it is.

EDIT: And people bringing me things like jars and bottles and windows to open. Basically any minor display of strength that goes according to plan.

When I listen to Heavy Metal and Rock N Roll.
It gets my adrenalin running and feeling like jumping around playing the guitar being drunk and not caring about anything :p
It's a good feeling, I listen quite a lot to music (only listen, no talent here) and it always gets me daydreaming :D

When doing the typical guy thing of bringing in all of the shopping bags in one go. I actually get angry when I get left with carrying any less than 30kg (I'm guessing, I don't actually know if it's anywhere near 30kg).

Going into the loft is also pretty manly I guess.

Ending a day knowing that I've been nice to everyone I've met. Bonus points for petting a strangers dog, or helping an old person cross the road.

Because there's more to being 'a man' than poking a fire with a stick, or killing something yourself before eating it!

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
