Meh, honestly, unless they diverge from the manga I can't muster up any interest, the manga was a mess of tedium that suffered from the same boring harem cliches I've seen for the last 20 years. The characters are pretty much the same personality tropes, and there's just too damn many to give any real character development to so they get their standard harem girl backstories and then it dissolves into the same hijinx that have been happening since Ranma 1/2, just with monster girls that are less human than the usual animal ears and tails that ends up in this genre.
Maybe the manga got super good after I stopped reading, but it just felt like a retread of the same plotlines I've been seeing for decades now, could be because my old college roommate was really into harem animes and thus I've kind of been overexposed, but the manga never really offered anything new beyond the slightly less human looking monster girl angle, which sucks because I like the concept, but then it just makes me frustrated that it's wasted on another generic harem setting and protagonist. After it introduced 7 different girls in short order, I just couldn't give a damn any more, I read a few chapters after that, but it just felt like the same, "who is generic harem protagonist going to pick, and how long can we drag his choice out until we bite the bullet because people stop giving a shit about his waffling" Tenchi this guy is not.
Given that crap like Eiken exists in anime form though, I suppose there are a lot worse properties to give the anime treatment, I just wish the harem genre would branch out a little more, or maybe I just outgrew my interest in the genre.
