I don't get why everyone always goes gaga over Miia. Don't you know that it's all about Papi and Suu, the monster girl gamer bros?

I'm reading the manga now and since I like ecchi harems I simply can't wait to see this adapted. Too bad it will come with tons of "steam" and white lights to censor the nudity to get more sales from BD's.

PS: I like Miia the most as well.

Because no one can cuddle like a Lamia can.

Normally I'd be all "oh great, just what we need, another schlocky fanservice harem anime."

In this case however...

I love me some monster girls. That and I like the manga...I just hope that this doesn't turn out to be Rosario+Vampire anime 2.0.

Indeed :p

Plus for some reason I find this image endlessly amusing.

I...I actually just heard about this yesterday.

The excitement is real.

Been reading the series for months and actually own a couple of the volumes, since I'm a sad bastard. ^.^

Let's hope it's a good adaptation.

Really though. I never thought this series would get an anime. Just due to the whole...you know, Monster Girl thing.

Must be a lot more popular than I thought.

Also...Centorea is prolly my fave at the moment...but then, there's Best Girl?.

Arachne. Ahh. Leg man indeed.

Meanwhile, the internet is freaking out over an inconsequential, alternative comic book cover that has a girl crying on it.

Good days to be a weeaboo. The anime industry continues to not give a fuck what anyone on twitter thinks.

Awesome. I've been waiting for this anime since Issue 1. It's the only harem comedy that I've ever seen that was dragged down by the main character being an unlikable twit.

To be fair Twitter is not the best place for discourse on feminist issues legitimate or other wise and tends to over react (I saw the cover, didn't care)

OT: this is a nice surprise as I like the manga and I'm the type to usually hate fanservice, ecchi comedy, or harems. I can't fully articulate it but the absurdity of the setting makes it easy to swallow all the stuff I normally find stupid.

Regardless, let's hope it focuses on more antics and one off episodes instead of too much of an over reaching arc.

Honestly, no one should give a fuck what anyone on Twitter or Tumblr says or does. Because even if it was all gray, amorphous blobs, someone would still find a way to get angry and Twumblr and make a pissy deal out of it.

So...I have a question to Monster Musume fans.
Is this in anyway like Rosario + Vampire? Cus, I love that manga (not the anime so much).

Monster Musume is getting an anime, by popular demand! Its projecting airing date is July 2015. The Monster Musume Manga was the New York Times #1 Bestselling book when Issue #1 launched in October in the United States, and has been in the Top 10 almost every time a new issue has come out. Issue #6 came out just this last Tuesday.

Now the world of TV will know that Arachnera Waifu is best Waifu.

Sorry there was a typo, I fixed it for ya.

No, if anything this is closest a harem manga has come to Tenchi Muyo! in a long time. By that I mean the girls have actual characters and are not just following a formula.

Give it a read its super good.

Meh, honestly, unless they diverge from the manga I can't muster up any interest, the manga was a mess of tedium that suffered from the same boring harem cliches I've seen for the last 20 years. The characters are pretty much the same personality tropes, and there's just too damn many to give any real character development to so they get their standard harem girl backstories and then it dissolves into the same hijinx that have been happening since Ranma 1/2, just with monster girls that are less human than the usual animal ears and tails that ends up in this genre.

Maybe the manga got super good after I stopped reading, but it just felt like a retread of the same plotlines I've been seeing for decades now, could be because my old college roommate was really into harem animes and thus I've kind of been overexposed, but the manga never really offered anything new beyond the slightly less human looking monster girl angle, which sucks because I like the concept, but then it just makes me frustrated that it's wasted on another generic harem setting and protagonist. After it introduced 7 different girls in short order, I just couldn't give a damn any more, I read a few chapters after that, but it just felt like the same, "who is generic harem protagonist going to pick, and how long can we drag his choice out until we bite the bullet because people stop giving a shit about his waffling" Tenchi this guy is not.

Given that crap like Eiken exists in anime form though, I suppose there are a lot worse properties to give the anime treatment, I just wish the harem genre would branch out a little more, or maybe I just outgrew my interest in the genre.

Double checks. Nope. Looks like there was no typo in the original post. You just thought there was.

Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...or a neutral thing.
What makes MM different?

I will admit with nary a hint of shame that I am legitimately excited by this.

Oh, and just to throw my hat into the ring, first girl is best girl, and any what disagree can politely voice their opinion towards the business end of my ZT Hellion.
