Moral Question

Right, since my own moral compass is somewhat skewed, I figured I'd gauge reaction here.
Last night, a new girl started at work, she's funny, charming, beautiful, all in all a pretty great girl. She asked me if I'd like to go for a drink with her, and therin lies the rub. I am 20, she's 16. What do?

Legal yes, drinking age no. (UK age of consent is 16, drinking age 18)
Legally I'm fine, I'm just at a bit of a dilemma, I know people in similar situations that have had a lot of shit, I know it shouldn't really matter, but hey

One: She might be over the legal age of consent but she is 16. You are 20. There is alot of maturing a person does in those four years.

Also think of it this way, certain countries think that a 20 year old sleeping with a 16 year old is an offense punishable by imprisonment.

I know people mature, in the last year alone I've grown up a hell of a lot, but there's no way you'd think she was 16, I first thought she was my age, perhaps a year older

Just do it. Ages shouldn't be an issue. I'm four years older them my girlfriend and it works fine. Plus girls mature a lot faster then guys, so you are probably more similar in that respect then you think.

Don't do it. Not because it's immoral (it isn't), but because it's a bad idea. You're a young adult, she's a mid-adolescent. One of you will change significantly over the next year or two. The relationship will pay the price.

I don't agree with adult and teenage relationships, even if sixteen is "adult" in your country, it still seems too young. She may be either confused or trying to take your cash. Why else would someone so young go for someone much older than her? It seems... like a trap.

This doesn't come down to a moral compass, simply you, as in whether you care what your friends/other people think. Other than that the age isn't a huge difference, my friends parents are 70 and 50. (Dad's the man)

I don't see a problem. Age one matters so much, people can really mature or not regardless of age. Though I wouldn't expect anything long term. Enjoy her company see where it goes.

I'm 28 and casually dating a 18 year old girl(though I look more like I'm 18 than 28) and she's more mature than most girls my age. I don't expect much since she's busy with school and work but it's great to have someone to go out with once in a while.

Some people have issues with it but that's only when I mention the numbers otherwise they have no idea. So fuck em, I have the right to enjoy my life as long as I don't hurt anyone and I'm honest with her about my age and intentions.
