Definately Fallout 3, without a doubt. I couldn't fucking stop. My friends got worried because I didn't even want to go out drinking... in Ireland that's a big deal :D

Other life suckers have been Oblivion and COD4 multi.
Couldn't agree with you more

I don't know if it is the most addictive game I ever played. But I beat Mirrors Edge on Normal, (using no guns....test of faith!) then I immediately played it again and beat it on the hard difficulty.
ANd not to just get the achievements I just really enjoyed playing that game.

Would have to be the original EverQuest in 1999-2000. After that, it was the discovery of Morrowind. For a console, it would have to be GTA 3 when it first came out. I was about 15 when I rented it. I had played for 3 days straight without sleeping, as if in a trance. I had played all GTAs before 3 and had always dreamed with my friend what it would be like in a 3D world.

I remember my mom came in and said she was taking the movies back to the store, and asked for the game. It was then I realized I had not turned away from the game once.

Diablo 2, spent years grinding out good items on several builds on several characters. Loved that game. WoW has to be a close second.

Morrowind. I put a whole lot of hours on that game (and that was only the Xbox version)... I can pass Knights of the Old Republic hundreds of times and not get bored. And of course, Legend of Mana, that's all I would play when I was younger.
Dude, remember spending hours trying to get a specific monster egg in Mana?

Took me forever to get the Shadow Zero...

Super Smash Brother Melee for me. Played it for 7 years straight but just recently I stopped because I can't find anyone who plays it anymore. :(

Fallout 3 is the most addictive one for me, but for the last week or so, I have done nothing but play Chrono Cross...

Also, I may just be weird, but I never got addicted to WoW...I seem to be the only one, though, so I guess that's kind of cool.
So, which Chrono do you like better? Will we be seeing a new avatar soon, or what?

Personally, I like Cross better.

Story of my life. I actually have the exact same story too, just in a college setting.
Other insomniac producing plastic discs and digital content include: Team Fortress 2, XBLA Schizoid (addicting with friends), and a long time shout out to Twisted Metal.

Final Fantasy Online.

That seriously affected my social life for the 9 months I played it for.

Few new games hold my attention that long. I may play them twice, or even 3 times through, but thats hardly addicting.

I think games I really got hooked on were UFO Defence, Transport Tycoon and Skyroads.

Definitely goes to Geometry Wars. The same can be said about most chaos management games, but I've not felt the need to beat my high score (or my buddies') like that in quite some time...

I never got it. I'm probably going to buy the game again soon (our old one started messing up at a certain point), I don't see many 360 games that I want right now.
