Sure, it's getting a little grating hearing people use "fail" and "win" in general conversation, especially since the use of the latter sprung out of an abbreviation. Now, I'm a little perturbed at the increasing abundance of the use of "truth" as an adjective. However, the biggest irritant to me on a personal level has to be the phrase "butthurt." Seems like a half finished rape joke. Never mind guys who say "You just got raped." Owned or pwned isn't too annoying yet, since it's still used mostly to ironically sound like a ten year old. That novelty will only last for so long. Besides, I've personally had many instances where my butt actually hurts. May everyone who uses that expression experience anal and/or pelvic pain at some point in life. I also cannot fathom the amount of hate in a person's heart to refer to any group of people as "sheep," or worse, "sheeple."

Oh, and "natch." Can't stand "natch" and I can never remember what it even means. Why say it? It means nothing. By the way, I'm a million years old.

Am I the only one who thought the thread title was actually referring to speeches on the internet?
Also, I have never heard of "natch" before. Whut.

OT: I absolutely despise "fail/win" and "pwned/owned". It just builds up rage. I also haaate Japanese emoticons. You know what I mean. I want to kick a baby everytime I see "^_^".

Yea, it hurt me to type that.

Kids like memes. Makes them feel like they're a part of something. A super secret club that adults just don't understand.

The older people realized how lame and stupid all their internet speak/humor was, as it was made by bored people for boring people.

I can handle Internet and Text speech when it's used on the internet or in a text message. When people use it in everyday conversation is when i start to get annoyed.

x y is x.

For example: Successful troll is successful.

This is painful to me.

Actually, I kind of hate lol. I know it's widely used, and hardly exclusive to the internet anymore. But I really hate it.

Many, many females seem to think it's trendy to write '&&' instead of just '&'.

I use a lot of that type of speech purely for ironic purposes. But like you sat, it'll probably fizzle out as a novelty in time.

Any1 hu purpusfuly mispellz wurds than calz it "Abreviation," and actually think it's a legitimate form of speech (they're not joking around). It's one thing to be foreign, but when an English speaker does that, it really grinds my gears.

That's not abbreviation. That's you being lazy and/or not knowing how to spell.

I don't really hate anything, just when it gets too bad it is incomprehensible.

Apart from that, I have no problems.

I hate it aswell, I've never used it. I prefer to say 'ha' instead to indicate I'm either genuinely laughing or the comment is intended to be funny.

Also OP, I know I shouldn't laugh but when you said you hate the word 'butthurt' and you've had instances where your butt has actually hurt I couldn't help but piss myself laughing. Just for the reason you hate the word because it reminds you of personal butt related trauma is hilarious. I apologise for what I have just said in advance.
