Metroid Prime 3 was pretty horrible. It only started loading the next room once you told it to open the door, so you'd often have to wait, glaring at the lifeless panel for about 30 seconds.

It was bearable though, and the rest of the game is great.
I spent half the game trying to figure out whether I was supposed to wait for the doors to open or if it had forgotten about me and I should remind it by blasting the accursed thing into hell until it submitted. I often impatiently ran around while fireing upon it with as much urgency as I would fire upon a real enemy and I ran too far away in my crazed assault it might close again and make me wait some more. Fun times! Game was good though.

Mass Effect 2's loading screens are bugged as hell. First, it's a pre-set time. Second, it takes 5 minutes to load half the times.

The Wii when you download anything. Especially at the end when Mario is bouncing the coins out of the one block.
yep, it was kinda cool the first time, but every time after that was just too taxing to deal with.

Monster Rancher 2, the bouncing Mocchi.

If it's taking a ridiculously long time, it's probably a crash rather than just taking a while. You're never quite sure till about 20 minutes pass, though. I've lost so much to that loading freeze.

What was that Tony Hawk game where they boasted "No Loading Screens"? Turns out, they have them, it was just an image of your character driving a bus, glancing at the screen every so often for 5 fucking minutes.

I know for a fact what the best one is.
Fully playable 1 on 1 while-you-wait.
No no no! The best loading screen is actually from Fantastic Four, the game for PS1. It had this mini race track and you drove around it shooting! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!

The ones in The Orange Box. I understand that it's five games in one, so long loading times are inevitable, but they still annoy me since there's just so damn many of them. Especially on Portal, it has to load between every single test chamber, and pretty much every different room once you get in the back.

Easily the Sims 3.

A log of playing that game:
Start game
Wait for stupid not login screen to load
Start game *again*
Skip splash screens, wait for menu to load
Select town, make sandwich as it loads
Eat sandwich
Use the toilet
Finally reach the town, decide to make a new sim
Contemplate suicide as yet another loading screen plonks down in front of you
Sick of messing around, click random sim, you're a busy guy!
Oh for heaven... another loading screen as town comes back
Choose house to live in, load house and town
Go into menu and lower video settings to make it run
Shoot self as game asks you to restart
Family member comes in and decides to save your game so they can use the computer
Space crumbles as gigantic black holes envelope everything
Having saved the game loads the menu

Dawn of War: Soulstorm's loading screens irritate me but that game was just hashed thanks to Iron Lore. Honestly, the campaign screen takes ages to load and sometimes on the map loading screens the loading bar goes back the other way.
