We all know when they're going to be said or done in a film or show. That action a director believes will set his work apart, but really make it among the hundreds that have already used it.
List the ones you really can't stand seeing. For me, its:
-ultra high-tech government/military computer graphical user interfaces (UI/GUI) with all the swoosh noises and blue color
-"This is the end." "No, it's only the beginning."
-Main character's tutor/guardian/teacher dies defending him or her
-guy falls off edge but miraculously there is a thing he holds onto
-people happen to speak English, if only simply, all over the world
-car chase
-landmark is destroyed by op4 (like Magneto breaking Golden Gate, Cobra eating away at Eiffel Tower, Decepticons remove pyramid top)
-guy trying to save another guy from falling, but the falling guy is like "Oh, let me go, save yourself!" or something
-the world's savior is this... guy. Just this everyday guy, who happens to be the Chosen One.
How about you Escapists?
