Most Bizzare Game Ending?

Weirdest ending I have ever seen belongs to Diablo 2 for having an ending that more or less says 'and the world was f@cked up and remade with a slight raise in difficulty...the end'.

The ending to Shadow of the Colossus.

It kinda came out of left field.

I still don't know what those horns mean.

Fallout 3 due to pure FAIL

You had a supermutant IMMUNE to radiation
The machine spouted out Radiation for no reason
It didnt need to end

Bethesda are fixing this but it shouldn't need to be fixed

Not only did you had a supermutant immune to radiation you can also have a robot!

Or a Ghoul!(Charon)...I enjoyed a lot of the game but the main story and the same oblivion esque NPC's screwed it over personally

i hate endings that just have no proper ending and just leaves it's self open for a sequal e.g halo......need i say more?

Halo itself had a good ending. The immediate threat was resolved (the flood, covenant fleet) and the heroes seemed to have a glimer of hope for the future. Very much a Star Wars episode IV: A New Hope - you could end the series there and you have an acceptable beginning and end. Halo 2 ended much the same way as Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (or the second matrix) where you pick up where you left off and things just get worse and worse for the heroes, ending at their darkest hour.

It bugs me when it happens but it's not like Halo 2 was without precident.

Silent Hill 2's Dog Ending, or Silent Hill 3's UFO Ending.
Hm... Silent Hill 3's UFO ending wins. I mean come on, as far as I remember, James Sunderland and Heather's father are there, there's an alien, and then he blows up Silent Hill. What do we do? Let's sing a weird song about Silent Hill, in Japanese!

Yeah castle Crashers is a good contender. I could also say some of the Silent Hill joke endings

That was undoubtably a freaky ending. Those giant babies had no genitalia.

I personally haven't played many games with wierd endings, the closest I can think of was The Darkness's, which was actually pretty trippy now that I sort of remember it.

You could have just easily sent Dogmeat in there, he had the smartest AI ever, he attacked Behemoths from the front lines!

The ending of No More Heroes. There is actually a cliffhanger, followed by a character saying "Too bad there won't be a sequel." Luckily they are working on a sequel.

The end of MGS2 for just sheer confusion it caused me. Although I think it makes a little bit more sense now.

What about the alien endings to some Silent Hills? The dominant odd ending that took me by surprise has the be Castle Crashers. Drakengard was a good call. ^.^

A gaming magazine actually deciphered it some time ago, can't really remember what they found though.

Well mabey but before I bought halo 2 I new there was going to be a halo 3, which is why it was a cliff hanger ending, and if you realy need to know what happened between halo 2 and 3, read the crappy graphic novels bungie released they explain it all.

Also wierdest ending for me was Crackdown, It had no proper ending just the voice guy saying "all the gangs are dead the end" ... at least thats how I felt.

It also tells you how the Agency was helping the gangs all along until they wanted to rule the city themselves, which leave us puzzled if there is going to be a second one...
