I've seen alot of threads about the best/worst games ever, but I have never seen one about the about the most boilerplate, by-the-numbers, souless, bland game you've ever played.

So let me know what game is in your opinion the most grey, boring, 5/10, uninspired game you know of, my vote goes for 007: Blood Stone.

EDIT: The irony of this thread is that everyone is saying the same fucking games, so, answers that will no longer be accepted:

CoD
Modern Shooters
Gears of War
Duke Nukem Forever
WW2 Games
Halo

Anyone who says these things are no longer contributing to the thread.

Also this isn't a "games you don't like thread" unless you really feel the game is an uninspired mass of boring don't put it down because you didn't enjoy the experience.

EDIT2: Having been informed that "generic" may not be the best word I've changed the title to "Most bland game ever" as I'm sure you noticed.

Less a game, and more a series: Call of Duty, same for Medal of Honor.

Neither takes a step either forward or backwards. They are just dancing in a circle..

Duke Nukem Forever. Fills that category nicely.

dead to rights retarded, the only way to play this game is with a friend who acts like it is a satiric take on the state of gaming and he is doing the commentary

Unreal Tournament III. The only thing that made it cool was the guns. I don't understand why they tried to make a story for it, and it felt too repetitive after Level 1.

Gratuitous space battles. Its just a ship shooting ships!

Wait. that was the whole point?

Well, it is World War 2 in Space. At least the Higs were an interesting inversion on colonial revolutionaries. They're like the American Revolution mixed with Nazis and british accents.

Killzone. There is nothing. Literally NOTHING that makes it in any way interesting at all on any level. It is the single blandest, most boring game that is only popular because it is an exclusive. It isn't bad, per se, just utterly unoriginal in every possible way.

I forgot Area 51, don't forget the inspiring collection of weapons, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Pistol, and Rocket Launcher.

And the cast was amazing, who can forget Muscley Guy, Commander Guy, Scientist Guy, or was it Scientist Lady? He/She was such a deep and thought provoking charecter I forgot his/her gender. And there was probably another guy, but I honestly can't recall.

Yes. It's like a really crappy version of halo, with no vehicles, more boring weapons, worse maps. And I'm comparing killzone 2 to halo 1 (only ones of both franchises i've played), from several years before.

Oh god yes!
Also The vast and expansive Enemy horde consisting of Little Scurrying bastards who attack in pack.
The medium sized ones that require 5 or 6 Rounds and a biff on the nose.
The Big Bastards that can only be killed with a Special weapon (which apparently any old random solider can authorise the use of)
And the Cybernetic clone soldiers that go insane and murder everything.
SUCH POETRY!

Pretty much this.

Also, I realise how influential Halo was and everything (whether good or bad, that's another matter), but in terms of gameplay enjoyment, I'd put it squarely on the complete middle of the road scale. It was a big pile of meh.

I want to say Call of Duty but I haven't played a single one of those games.

So I'll say Killzone 3 instead. Hot damn, there is not one noteworthy thing about that game.
