How has this made the second page without mentioning the Cerebral Bore from Turok yet? Easily the most brutal weapon ever.

You haven't seen brutal until you have 20 people dying all around you from the swarm bore in Turok: Evolution.

Stabbing someone, chopping off arms, then decapitating is pretty sweet.
Pulled of the most brutal killing ever in Halo 3. Pulled out a mongoose, drove it off the edge WHILE jumping off it as it enters flight, then the mongoose flys and crushes my enemies.

That isn't brutal, That's just badass.

These are cool but Manhunt still makes everything else on this thread look like Sesame Street.

By the way the version of Mad World that is playing in the backgound there is just awful. The dude is singing the chorus in a major key and seems to be making the guitarist get confused...

I've always liked shotgun kills like in rainbow six vegas 2 where the enemy just dies, all the limbs go limp and the body either falls in a tangled mass to the ground or is blown back over a railing or box.

In the White Forest Inn segment in Half-Life 2: Episode 2, I crotch-shotted EVERY Combine soldier with the crossbow.

Imagine being pinned to a tree by a rod of spent uranium...through your crotch.

I was just wondering what you think the most brutal way to kill someone in a game is. I personally would have to say the God of War finishing moves for bosses.

I was thinking this exact same thing when I read the title. The one that stands out most to me is killing Theseus in GoW II - slamming his head in a big-ass door. Yowch.

The Theseus one is brutal, but I'd say impaling Perseus on a hook and yanking out a cyclops' eye (if they count as a mini-boss) is a bit worse.

The Theseus one had the most impact (badumTISH) on me and a friend who was watching as I did it the first time. Honestly, the Perseus battle was a little more epic when you ripped off his helmet and stomped the sucker flat.

Ok, people...has anyone here actually played Manhunt? It pisses all over everything in this context, seriously!

Examples:

Repeated stabbing in the eyeball with a shard of broken glass

A sickle in the nuts from behind which is then dragged backward through the lower body

Aforementioned sickle dragged through chest cavity from behind

Three different machete decapitations that take 4 or 5 gurgling, torturous blows to achieve

A chainsaw kill that would make marcus phoenix grimace

Crowbar in the neck, foot in the back and a hefty kick...

And last but definately not least... strangling someone with a PIANO WIRE as it gradually tears through thier neck and spine eventually twisting their head right off.
