If I had to pick a couple of titles off the top of my head they would be the following:
1.) Twilight Princess (Wii)
2.) Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (Xbox 360)
3.) Hell Boy: Science of Evil (Xbox 360)

What are some of your picks?

mercenaries 2 (PC) - poor support,QTEs and just in general a poor game because it's a downgrade from the first one

Max Payne:3 (PC, yet to be confirmed good or bad) every day I'm slitting my wrist because once I saw ole Max a old man,in the tropics my gut sank however I will remain persistent to pre-order as it's cheaper than paying £50

The Wii.

I stood in line for 2 hours.

The first time. I didn't get it because they were sold out.

I then stood in line for another 3 hours.

2 months later, I sold the child's toy and bought some PS3 games instead.

Well, I didn't stand in line but Halo Wars. 3 years of my life wasted waiting for it.

I have to agree Final Fantasy XIII was a slap in my face. What a terribly boring game with insanly hard boss fights thrown in out of nowhere. I never completed the game because I didn't care.

Too Human was another one that was originally a gamecube launch title that was delayed horridly and then finally came out on the Xbox 360 just to confuse me as to why it took so long to come out. It was clearly made by one guy in his parents basement.

Actually I want to add one more to my list:
Metal Gear Solid 4. I stood in line for a midnight launch for 4 hrs (this is back when I had a PS3) and come to find out the game is nothing but an insane amount of boring cutscenes. The graphics were also barely next gen and the overall gameplay did nothing to improve.

Needless to say when I beat the small amount of actual gameplay I sold it quickly as to earn the most trade-in credit ($35)

The only pre-ordered game I've ever had to stand in line for more than 2 minutes was Dragon Age: Origins, and I thoroughly enjoyed that game. I dont preorder games often. Sitting in line for 2 hours for a game that will most likely sell out before its my turn in line is just a waste of time, especially when 9/10 times I could have just bought the game on STEAM and not even had to leave my house.

Wow I was almost right with you when you said Dragon Age but then you said you liked it. Whoops. I traded in Dragon Age about 8 hrs after I bought it.

um i've never really been crushed since i've ever only stood in line for two pre ordered games. One was Halo 2 which i really liked and the other was Fable...which i beat over a weekend, wasn't impressed and promtly traded in.

Now the Fable experince tought me that i should never pre order a game and i should be careful about buying a game without playing it first and at the very least reading the reviews.

I don't pre-order

but I was crushed that Alone in the Dark was so bad...even though everything I had heard about it was bad...

I had hope for it though, for some odd reason...plus I got it for less than 10 bucks so...

Brutal Legend. And are there any games that OP actually likes?
I liked Alan Wake, Bayonetta, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Singularity, Limbo to name a few recent titles. But I buy close to every new Xbox 360 game that comes out, even though I have been known to skip a title or two.

Apparently the OP doesn't like any good game. MGS4 kicked ass, Dragon Age rocked, Twilight Princess was... Okay, and, well, those other two were probably trash.

Then again, if you see what he was suspended for, I suppose that his overall hate for non-Halo games makes sense. *Shrugs*

OT: I Preorded both WoW expansions only to find that there was absolutely no need to do so. Really the only 'let downs' I've experienced, I guess.

Actually I hate Halo so that was a neat pre-judgement about me.

MGS4 kicked who's ass certainly not the PS3s GPU. It kicked my ass with its long frequent boring cutscenes and its outdated boring gameplay.

Dragon Age had me double guess if I was playing a PS2 title somehow in my Xbox 360 and had the story that has been repeated a billion times: Good vs Evil, yawn.

Twilight Princess was a gamecube port with slight wiggle controls. And it looked damn ugly on my HDTV. Also why has no Zelda game to date provided voice overs? Its not that hard, Nintendo has the money to hire a voice cast.

I hate the Wii and the PS3 only has a few decent titles for it.

But once again I hate Halo. Even though thankfully Halo Reach adds sprinting capability, thank jeebus!

Dude I was amped for Alone in the Dark but the very first thing that pissed me off was when I lit my first wooden object on fire and it worked as advertised but when i tried to light a potted plant on fire and nothing happened. I cried foul and instantly hated the game. Also the chapter skip ability totally ruined the game.

FF13 for sure, I was a pissed off at buying that game. I would also say Halo 3 mostly sucked donkey balls but it wasn't terrible at least (I should note that I absolutely hated Halo 2 so I was a sucker thinking they would make another good game). The worst was My Little Pony 4, damn it why did I reserve that fucking game?!
