-bears (lots of them)
-a bison on the side of the road (not really dangerous normally, but since it was the size of the jeep I was in at the time... well I wouldn't want it trying anything)
But yeah, Canada is a sensible place to live, devoid of tiny things that can kill you before you even see them.
- Red Back Spider
- Funnel Web Spider
- Tiger Snake
- Blue Ringed Octopus
- Nurse Shark
Yeah that's about it unless you count Emus and Red Kangaroo's which are only dangerous in rare situations but if they wanted to they could fuck you up.
Well this doesn't seem very fair. Anyone living in Australia has a clear advantage over the rest of us. After all, as we all know Australia is nothing but wastelandish outback with no discernible infrastructure, full of rabid koalas, Mike Tyson like kangaroos, and a plethora of other equally fierce wild animals trying to kill you. Only the bravest of vegemite eating, crock wrestling, Fosters drinking Crocodile Dundee types are even capable of calling such a fearsome place home.
Heck, Australia even has it's own dedicated folder in the "Everything Trying to Kill You" trope on tvtropes.
But the absolutely scariest(/dangerous) creature I've ever encountered was a sleeping Snorlax on the way to Saffron City. I played a poke flute to wake it up and it ATE my Bulbasaur! What the hell?! I only wanted the dumb thing to move out of the way so I could battle Giovanni and get a Master Ball so I could catch one of the Legendary Birds. FML =(
Hmm I think the most ''dangerous'' animal I've seen in real life and outside a zoo was a wolf. They don't tend to be dangerous to people though normally, unless they have no source of food.
Oh and a normal british house spider has apparently put my little nephew in hospital twice, turns out he is highly allergic to the bacteria in spider bites :<.
I saw a black bear and her cubs a couple of years ago on the side of the road. I caught a shark while deep sea fishing, that scared me shitless. Almost stepped on a jellyfish at the beach one time. Since I live in North Carolina, I see (and kill) copperheads all the time. I think that is it. I might add more as I think about it.
Hmmm i live in Oxfordshire so the most dangerous thing ive seen was an enraged wild Rabbit, seriously those things are territorial, even the domesticated ones
Off the top of my head. The most impressive was the bison considering my proximity to it. It was right outside my tent and it wasn't my only encounter.
The area I live in is infested with those evil bastards.
Okay, seriously. I've seen a lot of black widows and my friend's face started to fall apart due to a brown recluse bite. Lots of rattlesnakes, water moccasins/cottonmouths, and one coral snake.
Oh, and a cougar/panther/mountain lion, that actually really freaked me out because I had to walk through some really thick underbrush to get back to my cabin for the night. I kept looking up and behind me, thinking that thing was stalking me. Never saw it again and haven't seen one since. My dad claims to have seen it multiple times and he's on the property a lot more than I am, so he probably has. We actually have some pictures of it from a motion camera. I should really find that.
I've seen a few gators too.
But still, the deer are the worst of the bunch.
Edit: There was also a time when I was riding in a helicopter along the coast and saw a bunch of shadows in the water. When I asked the pilot what they were, he said, "Sharks." That kind of freaked me out, there were dozens of them REALLY close to the beach.
