Red back can kill children. I wouldn't underestimate them.
So can a puppy :p

Edit: Also, I'm not going to bother with a list as I too live in Australia, so you can pretty much mark me down for everything everyone else has said who's lived here!

Wild boar and her young. She was all protective like. Good thing we hadn't cornered her, so she didn't feel threatened by us. After looking at us for a while, she walked off in the other direction. Her kids (boarlets?) were cute, though.

Funnel web spider, redback spider, white tail spider, blue white shark, crocodile, blue ringed octopus, red belly black snake.

The many illustrious perks to living in Australia...\

Edit: Almost forgot Lion fish and Goanna. Stupid lizard came up to my water bottle and tried to drink from it when I was mountain biking. Almost got it's claws in me when I tried to get it back.

Probably a little snake in the grass or something. I live in England, there aren't many common dangerous animals.

Not in a zoo? A boar in the brush at my mate's parent's farm. New Zealand doesn't have much outside of zoos.

I saw a raccoon on my patio once. And a fox in my side yard...

Oh, and I went fishing one time and caught a crab.

Yup.

Being in the UK, the most dangerous animals we have to worry about are badgers.

EDIT: Oh, and the Irish
Feel lucky you don't have Honey Badgers. They would wreck you.

I saw a Black Widow once. Some Snapping Turtles as well.

I got to see a pack of North American timber wolves up close and out of their cage once during a school trip to an animal research center.
Very dangerous creatures but not for the reasons you think. You're probably looking at the jaws that can snap bones like Twix bars and the the paws that could easily knock you on your ass when they come flying at you.
Instead you should look at the fact that they're smart enough to open doors, realize that glass is more fragile than metal or concrete and can communicate and co-ordinate complex maneuvers miles apart from one another.

Lets see, I live in Scotland and despite going to Australia for 3 weeks I managed to avoid every dangerous animal residing there, so a fox?
