Every single song Lady GaGa has done... It's been known to make puppies cut themselves.

EDIT: Okay, now that was fucking disturbing.

just the tag line of the "Hungerian suicide song" hints at how depressing it is.
Anything by Billie Holiday is ridiculously depressing. That woman was the queen of the blues.

Songs don't make me feel emotion strong enough to make me qualify as happy or sad.
But ones that have come close to sad are
dredg - Cartoon Showroom
Phil Collins - Another Day in Paradise
Nickelback - If Everyone Cared

Isn't the official "most depressing song ever" Gloomy Sundays (can't remember the singer) or something?

I only know 'cos it ws on a tv program, it said a homeless person was once whistling the song when a business man walked past, the man gave all his things to the homeless man and jumped off the bridge! If that doesn't make it it the most depressing song ever I don't know what will!

Probably the Gary Jules version of the song "Mad World" or maybe "Cat's in the Cradle".

Hardrock, thanx. I have been trying to figure out who sings the Hallelujah song forever!
Actually, Jeff Buckley is one of the many people who's covered the song. The original composer of "Hallelujah" is Leonard Cohen. Just thought you oughta know :D

"Waiting For Superman" by The Flaming Lips

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY_L1AzSmhU

Depressing, but not in a my-gal-dumped-me-sort-of-way or a mum-died-sort-of-way but in a universal futility of life sort of way.

Lyrics...

Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode. For some reason it always brings a tear to my eye. Even more so if I am watching the video with it
