High Lord Dagra Dai in Ninja Gaiden II, on Master Ninja difficulty, is the single most sadistic fight I have ever had in a game. The fight itself isn't too bad by that stage on Master Ninja since you've already beaten him 3 times previous to get to Master Ninja difficulty in the first place, it's the sections preceeding it that are a right bastard, because before fighting Dagra Dai, who imo is the hardest boss in the game, you need to fight and beat, without any breaks for buying items or upgrades, 3 other almost-as-hard bosses before him, so if you end up fucking one of those up, or hell even the tiniest errors over all 3, then you have no heals, resurrections or ninpo boosts for Dagra Dai himself which pretty much guaruntees you a 2 shot death.

Oh and did I mention that while fighting Dagra Dai there is a never ending supply of pain-in-the-ass Great Fiends who are constantly leaping on you and bashing your face, picking you up and blasting demonshit at your face, or just plain ol' getting in the way so that Dagra Dai can pwn you in the cheapest possible way...in the face.

Yep. It sucks.

In the gaming world the final boss in serious sam. Even cranking the difficulty down to pussy there was no way to beat that guy!

In the real world. An old head chef of mine. He was an ex-foriegn legionere and that fucker had it in for me. Admitedly I was a shitty apprentice, but we had lots of those to spare! Every waking moment the bastard would ride me like freakin' shetland pony!

I don't really remember many bosses I had problems with, except when facing the 4 mechs at once with together with old king, in armored core for answer.

Anyone remember Juggernaut from Spiderman/X-Men: Arcade's Revenge? To this day I still have not beaten that level, so I don't even know if the final boss is that hard. I also remember that eye boss from Oracle of Seasons. I think I was able to get it to break down into the little eyes, but I don't remember ever beating that boss.

Old Monk in Demon's Souls... I don't want to spoil anything but it is really really difficult when you are online.

I still haven't beaten Tower Knight in Demon's souls. the fucker cost me 7000 souls
Are you magic or melee?
There's a simple way if you are a magician (I killed him on my first ever attempt).

But either way, if you need help try this link:

If you thought Tower Knight was tough, good luck with the False King.
thanks dude, but I'd rather not. feels like cheating.

Old King Doran in Demon's Souls. You can cheap kill him with damage over time spells, but I did it the true way - with my sword. Took me a couple days probably 20 tries... the sense of elation when I killed him tho made it so worthwhile.

Jeane in No More Heroes.
Blasted through most of the bosses without a problem, but I can't beat her for the life of me. Even my charged attacks do almost no damage to her and 3 4ths of the time, she dodges or blocks anyway. I can't shadowstep her, I can't combo her and I can escape almost no special attack from her.

The hardest boss/bosses I've ever to beat was Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts I&II
the trick was figuring him out.

he follows the same routine over & over.

That stupid tortoise boss in Shadow of the Colossus. It's not like you die very often when fighting it, but even when you figure out to stun it with the geysers, it's a ***** to try and make sure it's standing in just the right spot while hoping that a geyser will randomly decide to burst beneath it.
Don't you mean all the bosses from shadow of the collosus

I figured out on my own that:
you can get him to chase you to the bridge, but he will turn around and stop following (equip thief ring) at some point. That's when you move up to him and backstab for big damage. Rinse repeat 6-7 times and voila, one dead old king...I also had a Large Sword of Moonlight +4 with a high faith stat, so that helped.

Needless to say, easy win for this kid. I took out many Named Black Phantoms the same way.
That is another strategy, yes, but as I mentioned using poison cloud and death cloud you can kill him - without even getting aggro. And your strategy - although it's legitimate - is exploitation and not really the point. It's like saying oh... yea that game wasn't hard because I just used the invincibility cheat.

I basically can't figure out why you said that... are you trying to help me or are you telling me I'm dumb/wrong about how hard Doran is? ...I have to think someone who actually duelled a difficult boss instead of exploiting it should hold your respect when you couldn't/wouldn't do it, and certainly said skilled player doesn't require the knowledge of an exploit when they've already accomplished the feat.

*ahem* for all of you who have ever played an unreal tournament you might sympathize with me when I say, the entirely hardest boss on any game i have ever played would be the final match with the clan lord on unreal 2004 on godlike difficulty, this becomes one of the most painful experiences you would ever have. On that difficulty he will ALWAYS know where you are, he will ALWAYS hit his mark, and he runs about twice your speed, and by the time you blink his ugly face is staring you down with a flak cannon. (And yet somehow I beat him)

For me it's the last boss from Prototype, but this is mainly a case of it being too frustrating to even bother beating, rather than an issue of actual challenge. His attack's drain a huge amount of your health, you do hardly any damage to him, and half way through a stupid arbitary timer is thrown in which gives you only 2 minutes to defeat him. Once I got to this boss and lost due to the timer running out I never touched the game again.
Ohh and just a btw, Muscle mass and throwing bombs ker-pwns that boss so hard, (Most underused power FTW!!)

I could never beat the boss of The Suffering: Ties That Bind. He beat me every time, thus I never beat the game.
It's a pity, because the game itself is great.
