End boss in Super Klungo. Which is in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts' DLC. It's actually not possible.

I haven't played 6, but Tekken 5 is the only game I've ever ragequit with, with the boss that fires instant death from his stomach. Or just incase you did dodge it, double instant death.

Freaking Yellow Devil, god dang it that battle was tedious and I died twice on it. :<
Jealous Bass was pretty tough considering Lucas was only level 16 and Bony was 15 when I fought him.

After you poor blood on the cartridge and an entire weekend getting all the damn ewoks you have to fight this.....this THING. I'm a pretty good gamer i'd say, most games arent so much of a challenge as they are seeing how long it will take to beat it, but DAMNIT, took me 4 hours to beat this guy, dying OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

Post your most difficult boss encounter, lets reminisce

Such a great game. Lots of exploration, combat and head collecting to do.. The first time i beated it, the game timer was around 50 hours of playtime.

Yeah the Endboss was almost nintendo-hard to kill (took me about 10 attempts to win, i happened to win when a friend came over and used floyd to assist me).. the problem being that if you share ammo upgrades around the 3 characters.. you are shooting yourself in the foot and you dont know you made a mistake until the very end of the game.. thats why i restarted a new game but gave EVERYTHING to Juno. 900 machinegun ammo kinda help.

That stupid tortoise boss in Shadow of the Colossus. It's not like you die very often when fighting it, but even when you figure out to stun it with the geysers, it's a ***** to try and make sure it's standing in just the right spot while hoping that a geyser will randomly decide to burst beneath it.
Amen.

I would have given up at that point except that the game was too good.

My friend DID help me on that one boss though.

For me it's the last boss from Prototype, but this is mainly a case of it being too frustrating to even bother beating, rather than an issue of actual challenge. His attack's drain a huge amount of your health, you do hardly any damage to him, and half way through a stupid arbitary timer is thrown in which gives you only 2 minutes to defeat him. Once I got to this boss and lost due to the timer running out I never touched the game again.

The final boss on Parasite Eve 2. I don't know if it boiled down to bad resource management throughout the game, but I burned through all my ammo on it, it didn't even look like dying and I had nothing left to use but harsh language. Needless to say that didn't work.
I never figured out how to kill that bastard either!

Magneto in X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse. He sends projectiles that take up almost the entire screen which are insanely difficult to dodge and do a good amount of damge. Once he does that, you have about a milisecond to hit him. And if you do manage to hit him, then his health bar will only go down a tiny bit. Basically you have to fall into a specific pattern, get flawless at it, and do it all for around ten minutes.

Though I can't forget mentioning that level in Viewtiful Joe that has you fighting all of the previous bosses with no checkpoints are save screens. Once you get good at the game it's not that hard, but the first time anyone plays it it's absolute torture.

Easy. The End, from MGS3. I literally spent three hours fighting the bugger. I literally had to save, mid-fight, and come back the next day to finish him off. And one time, I was using my d-mike to search for him (didn't use the thermals), then clicked it off, and when I came back into third-person view, he was standing right on top of me. Literally. I still get chills thinking about it... (Then he shot me. In the head. Not fun...) Plus, I had the bright idea of trying to tranq him to death. So very worth it though, to get my hands on his tranquilizer sniper rifle...
Then again... I haven't fought The Sorrow yet. Though that'll probably be more awesome and mind-screwing than hard...
yes.

As an 11 year old I almost pulled my teeth out over that boss battle.
I cheated and killed him at the beginning because he sucked to battle.

Just last month I was playing it, waited till he fell asleep, then kicked him to death like the ***** he is. =D
