Emperor Ing from Metroid Prime 2, Echoes.

and when you have killed it you got to kill Dark Samus - with a time limit!

At the moment all I can think of is those volcano turtle things from Ninja Gaiden 2. The first one you fight isn't so bad, except it blows up when you kill it, which in turn means it kills you unless you block in time. Seriously when I found out you had to block to survive I was thinking 'How can you block an explosion with your bare hands?' Sure he's a ninja but even so. But later in the game you have to fight two at once, that is when it gets tricky.

General Raam was the reason I stopped playing GoW, and didn't buy GoW2
Yes Raam was ridiculously difficult, especially on Insane mode. Raam is the equivelant of God compared to the final boss from Gears 2

That blue guy from the last Street Fighter. I couldn't beat him. Neither could my roommate.

Metroid Fusion. I was a pissed off >10 year old, spending my hours in my room, muttering curses I never realized I knew at a really annoying spider boss that wouldn't stop FUCKING MOVING so that you could launch a missle into his weak spot. And oh was the screw attack upgrade sweet...

The Ruby and Emerald Weapons; FF7. You have to do so much levelling and gather so many items and materia to have a prayer of beating either of them. Plus you need materia from earlier on in the game that's more-or-less essential, but missable (mime). In fact, you have to do so much, that the reward for actually defeating them is moot, 'cos you'll have to have most of the magic the master materia you get from Emerald grants you anyway, and you'll have to have a gold chocobo like the one you get from Ruby already in order to get the essential Knights of the Round summon materia.

But once you finally manage it, it's a pretty good feeling ;3
I agree that the rewards sucked bad, but the build up to beating them wasn't that bad at all. Use the Apocalypse weapon on Cloud, toss in your Counter materia (the command counter one) and have others work on duplicating Mime's. Then just go beat on Magic Pots and the little red rubber ball things in Final Cave for like 40 minutes and you're ready to rock.

-The Star Destroyer on Star Wars: Force Unleashed

I think 50% of my first playthrough was spent trying to rip it out of the sky.

-Spiderball boss in Metroid Prime 2 (Seriously, I despise Morphball mode. Why do I need to "fight" at my weakest?)

Also, Dieker from The Sabotuer is so hard.

The end boss from Fable 2. Damn that was hard
Ha Pansy!

How about you try fighting Yevon at the end of FFX? Now that is a real challenge!

/sarcasm- if you cast reflect, then he just one shots himself

Dullhan from Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Doom Dragon is too easy to be considered. But until I found a really cheap strategy to defeat him from my friend, he infuriated me beyond all belief.

I still haven't beaten Tower Knight in Demon's souls. the fucker cost me 7000 souls
If you're using Ranged, stand on the stairs above where you come in, then walk down to the sloping sections and fire, just as he opens his shield, then move. Wash, rinse, repeat until dead. If you're trying for Melee, be fast, roll under his shield and hit him in the heels until he falls over, then go nuts on his head. Tower Knight is a good measure of what's to come, there's a lot of very nasty bosses that need to be maneuvered into certain places to make taking them down much easier.

Armor Spider can be exploited by Ranged weapons and the glitch that means he can't shoot the very edge of the left hand wall until after you can get into range to lock on. I'm mostly stuck on things like Giant Goblins in the Swamp and invisible Reapers in the Ruins in second Playthrough. Just a matter of remembering where everything is and using Ranged to best advantage.

Sephiroth fights in KH games are all about dodging, which most people don't quite have the reactions for, so you can avoid it by spending a lot of time gliding where he can't hit you and landing behind him for a quick combo before taking off again. Also make sure you have the ability to get left with one hit point, Aero and the ability to get back to full health quickly, Sephiroth isn't that bad.

Aside from unwinnable Bossfights like appearances from Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2, I'd have to vote several bosses from Samurai Western and Rathalos from the Original Monster Hunter, wow, talk about getting hit by a train.

Hmm... Maybe Hag 1 from Banjo Tooie. You can use regenerating health or invincibility cheats I guess but without them its incredibly hard.
Oh God this a billion times. The length of the fight itself makes even more unfair.

I must go back and play KH soon.

KH2 was my favorite of the series so I'd like to see an Organization 13 cameo boss. I must have missed it or something.
