Completing vampire rain on hard with no kills except in missions where is is compulsary with an S score on every mission.

It. Can. Not. Be. Done.

Also, trying to get every dog tag from the soldiers on the Tanker on European extreme on the Tanker mission of MGS2 was the dumbest challenge I've ever set myself.

Beating Amnesia: The Dark Descent without shitting myself every two minutes...
I couldn't complete the demo, so I'm not likely to buy the full game. It crippled me, I nearly had a heart attack in the water bit.
Yeah, the water part was scary as hell but that was the only genuine scary part to me.

OT: Beating Demon's Souls is a given I guess, but that was it. Or resisting the urge to kill something while trying to beat ladder in MK 2, got to the third person....

Edit: Trying to keep myself from beating the shit out of my friend in a tournament in MK because he was spamming or making Machinima in Gmod. Yeah, it's that hard.

Death is real, no respawning. You die, reroll the world.

The furthest I've been was a small apartment dug into a natural (and small) plateau before a lava mishap took me out.

To thousand point Dante's Inferno and beat it on the hardest difficulty.
I did the first one, but not the second. I hope to do it on my day off.

Devil may cry 3 on dante must die (highest) difficulty. The original edition, not the one where you can play as vergil wich is way easier than the original one.

On that difficulty you can easily string every last combo your weapon has on a single standard enemy and he'd barely have a scratch. Some rooms took 30 minutes to clear.

The final level, wich is just a single boss, took about 2 hours. That's 2 hours of pure concentration because you can easily get one-hitted. And playing it safe isn't an option because he regenerates health at a decent rate so you have to wail on him constantly or the fight can go on indefinantly (until you fail to dodge an attack, that is.) I beat him by trying once a day and if I failed, that was it for that day because after that first try i'd be so spent a second try would definantly fail too. Than one day I managed to not screw up any dodges for long enough and voila.
After writing all that down I really wonder what the blazes made me want to beat it so badly.

Lets see...

For me, I've beaten Sephiroth on hardest difficulty in Kingdom Hearts, Platinumed PS3 Bioshock, and gotten all trophies in SSBB (Taboo is a ***** on the highest difficulty, pretty much all his attacks are OHKOs).

I think that's it.

This is going to seem obvious, considering it's a game explicitly designed to be 'tough as nails'
Getting A+ on the Hell and Cotton Alley levels of Meatboy
^ Another precious life wasted...

OT: Completing Fire Emblem while playing like you would have if it were Advance Wars

Beating the final boss of OutLand without getting hit once.

Probably the most boring was doing the spawn menu achievement in GMod. You know, the one where you basically have to hit "Q" 100,000 times. Gah, my fingers...AND, I did it for real. No auto-key thing, no cheats.

Hardest? Probably trying to get through one level of Serious Sam HD on Mental difficulty. That's basically Serious difficulty, already hard, but all the enemies are invisible, and just appear for about half a second.

First time I tried Serious difficulty, I walked through a door, saw someone, and died. That was it. Didn't even have time to shoot.

Completing an entire level of Hunter for Splinter Cell Conviction without either firing a shot, or ever being seen. For the achievements, they do not need to be completed at the same time, but I tried to do so, and it was really hard, and i have still not succeeded
Really? I'm not saying you're bad, but I've done this more than once. Then again, I used equipment, and would go back to restock when needed. It would be soooo much easier if you could whistle or throw objects-you know, not as barebones.
No, i'm willing to admit that i'm not so great at SC, although i did never consider going back to grab more equipment, if i ever reattempt this, i'll try that, Kudo's to you though, you proved to be quite crafty indeed

Knifing Wesker to death in RE5. Originally, I had to finish the prick with the knife because my shotgun, pistol, and support character all ran out of ammo, then went back later and re-did it because I felt like driving myself crazy.

Complete:

- 100% Zelda: Ocarina of Time with no walkthroughs or guides (100 golden skulltullas, 20 hearts, all items/upgrades).
100% 007: Goldeneye including all cheats unlocked.
- All skills 70+ in free-to-play Runescape (completed ages ago... never again).
- Survive a night in the open in Minecraft on hard mode with no items (RUN RUN RUN RUN SWIM JUMP PUNCH RUN RUN RUN).

Incomplete:

- Unlock all tarot cards on Painkiller (hard difficulty gets pretty damn hard at times).
- Finish my Minecraft castle (everything I complete makes me want to build something extra... it's getting ridiculous).
- Find all diamonds in Far Cry 2.

I played Star wars : KoToR 1 and 2 with using ONLY force powers.

Hard because--
1- If you're fighting a jedi or someone with high willpower, they can resist most of your powers.
2- If you run out of force energy, then you are basically screwed man.
3- Some powers are specific on what they can hit IE, certain moves work on droids but not on living thing ect, so you have to be specific about what you learn at certain levels.

Not exactly a "challenge" but I'm really OCD when it comes to talking to NPCs. I don't know why, but I CANNOT progress unless I have gone into every house, into every shop and talked to every NPC. I just feel really incomplete and I get this nagging feeling if I don't. Like I'm missing something.

And when I do do it, I'm still annoyed because in BIG cities it takes a long time. Especially in the more elaborate rpgs where they say different things if you talk again. Madness.

I'm tempted to try that. Seems like quite a good idea, but I'd probably have a breakdown if I'd made a huge world, then accidently fell off a mountain.
