Most difficult challenge you have set yourself in a video game?

Playing a martial artist in Morrowind. (Its actually easier in Morrowind than Oblivion theoreitcally though)
Also playing Morrowind or Oblivion without fighting, but still leveling up. Mostly trade skills would be used.

You never said challanges you FINISHED. I have barely started either.

killing ALL NPCs in Fallout:Las Vegas, futile attempt as a lot respawned... and I couldnt progress through the plot, seeing as I killed the guys from both sides -.-

Catch + Black Eye + Tough Luck + Melee Only (Except for areas where I need to, such a vehicle sections, destroying the AA gun, etc.) + Legendary in Halo 3. My original plan was to add on skulls until I had done them all, but this was so hard I didn't do any more.

Needles to say I spent a lot of time hiding behind walls. I think Cortana took me several days worth of trying.

I couldn't think of anything particularly special, and then suddenly it sprang to mind...

FFX- finishing that chocobo race with a time of 0.00 to get the Sun Sigil. My master FFX game (with a depressing 200+ hour play time) has my best time of 0.02, or something similar. I'll do it one of these days, even if I did just create a better weapon for Tidus.

Soloing a castle on Mount and Blade

I actually did it (castle had ~60 guys) but it took a while of trying.


Also complete all advanced chambers in Portal without touching the floor.

Probably either finishing PCB on Lunatic without continues (as Marisa, obviously, since such runs aren't painful enough already), beating Ratchet&Clank 2 using only the wrench (except where it's impossible to progress without using a weapon, such as some bosses that are out of reach), or ascending in Nethack as a Tourist.

Soloing Flemeth in DA:O. She was just too smug and superior not to. Discovered that if my health was at exactly 100% when she tried to eat me I would survive...just.

Probably finishing Max Payne 2 with only the Beretta on the hardest difficulty, hunting Bloodsuckers on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with a combat knife, playing CoD multiplayer matches with only pistols, finishing Deus Ex on the hardest diffculty without killing anyone.

Melee only? Wow. That takes some balls, right there. Especially against Flood.

Yeah, the flood screw you over repeatedly until you find an energy sword/grav hammer. You pretty much just have to keep running past them as much as you can.

What's that? Never heard of that kind of challenge.

The three heart challenge is to go through the game with only three hearts. You can't pick up any of the heart containers that bosses drop, or any heart pieces. It's a fun challenge for people that have beaten it a million times before!

It's pretty fun, and gives you an awesome feeling of accomplishment if you can do it

You passed all the challenges already?

Yes that too. They're tedious as fuck (not fun at all), but hard mode is harder imo.

Things that I concievably achieved would probably be playing Halo Reach and getting the achievement you get by falling to your death and stopping said death-drop by performing an assassination on a target right before impact.

About 50-60 broken, shattered Spartan corpses later I managed to get that fucking elite right in the eight vertebrae. HAH I said and then passed out.

One I'm currently doing actually...I like playing on anarchy server on Minecraft. I also like making political communities. as for how well it's going, well, it's not done yet, but I have to say, this might work. Making an actual political power for towns...
