As much as I'm disturbed by this scene, I laugh my ass off every time I see it...

Meg's sleepover party when Peter knocks on the front door dressed up as Policeman stripper, enters the house, goes through the whole schtick and waves his ass in Meg's face, removing her glasses.

Don't get me wrong, I love Family Guy but I hate the show's creator Seth MacFarlane. He's always come off as a huge douchebag who tries to push his political views on others. I'm pretty sure the dog, Brian, was only added to the show so Seth MacFarlane could try to push his political views on the Family Guy audience.
Agreed, Brian has to have a funny character with him at all times during episode or else episode probably gonna not be so good.

You know I used to like Family Guy. But somewhere along the way, probably once the show came back from it's ban, it changed. I could go into detail about what I hate specifically, but this thread is about the least funny joke.

Well it's hard to describe but I'll try anyways. I hadn't watched Family Guy in ages but I decided to watch a few minutes while channel surfing. No idea what was going on, but the show has no real plot in recent episodes so it doesn't matter. Suddenly there was another cut-away joke, to three guys was absurdly large newspapers sitting in chairs coughing. One of them would cough, then the other would, then the next one would. And they would do this over and over again. Just three guys sitting in chairs coughing. That's it. And it goes on for over 2 minutes.

And if I have to ask; where's the fucking joke?

I don't get it. Why is it funny? How could it be funny? Is there something I am missing? Maybe it's some obscure pop-culture reference. Maybe I was just supposed to laugh at it's absurdity. But no matter what it's intention was, nobody could look at this and say it's funny. Nobody could say it was funny to stretch it out over 2 minutes. And I don't think writers are stupid. They just don't give a shit. They looked at this joke and thought "Yeah it's not funny, but we need to pad out the episode so just stretch it out over two minutes. We can reuse the same animations and sound effects, and our viewers are to stupid to care".

I personally felt insulted by that joke. The writers must think that we are so stupid that we can find that funny. And that's when I decided to never give it another chance. That one joke convinced me that the writers did not care anymore. And if they don't care about their show, why should I?

There may be a large number of people who still like Family Guy, but I bet if they keep pulling this shit even they will abandon them.

Five minute Conway Twitty clip. Only write 3/4 of a script.

That day was the one I lost all respect for that show.

The constant repetition of jokes. Let's see... we have:

Peter fighting chicken
Peter/Lois tripping and going "Ssss! Ah!" for about 5 minutes
Conway Twitty
Cleveland's house getting destroyed
The maid (more recent)
The evil monkey
The two guys and the piano (although that was seen to when Stewie killed them both)
Kool-Aid jug
"Now here's something we hope you'll really like"
Ripping on the Flintstones for some reason?
Constantly slagging off FOX, just like every other show on that network

And when it's not any of those it's constant non-sequiturs

"This is worse than the time I..."
"Just like when..."
"You're acting crazier than..."

All followed by some random bullshit that has nothing to do with the episode.

Yet it's all these things that make Family Guy and I personally enjoy watching it, however in recent months they have been using repetition a lot. Now I'm not sure if they're trying to do it 'ironically' or to say "look, we can put any old shit down and they'll broadcast it because YOU love it!" But it's really becoming lacklustre when the same old gags keep getting recycled. Maybe they're trying to get cancelled again/drive their fans insane, you know, since they're always admitting that everything they do is a middle finger to the fans.

Wow. This is fantastic the cat shaving yeah that bit is a bit wrong i guess and no way in hell was a full conway twiddy song neccesary.
However, you have called the haters of Family Guy en masse to this thread to get at it. Love south park and family guy and i like that family guy follows that randomness trend its joke after joke, you KNOW that. If you want a funny show you go see a comedy group if you want joke after joke you see a stand-up, neither diminishes the other. Family guy and south park are both the part of the same weave. Also its been 8 years you know what family guy is like if you have an issue with being offended dont watch. If you do take offence, for a personal reason just remember all the god-awful inapropriate shit youve laughed at on it before and that should set you straight.

Note: the musical parts are fantastic they have a full orchestra on staff and should be allowed to use them. Seth Macfarlane was trained by the same vocal coaches as Sinatra and its no problem hearing it.

For gross, I do not know really. I have seen worse but there is probably something that might come to me later.

As for not funny, Sneakers O'Toole. The flashbacks generally are not funny but they at least have a celebrity, situation and whatnot to chuck in. Sneakers O'Toole is something a six year old would think of. The lack of liberal satirizing also is pretty bad.
