[HEADING=3]I had to destroy everything I worked for, just for that annoying woman! I admit, Elika was an interesting character, but why the hell should I have to choose her over the FATE OF THE FUCKING WORLD?!?![/HEADING]
The Dark God would have escaped anyway, and with Elika dead nobody could stand a chance against him. Prince thought ahead and planned to take him down once and for all.
EDIT: I guess I'd have to say... Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus.

I realise this is what they wanted but it was so poorly executed. Instead of making it seem like a planned ending to defeat him once and for all, it just feels like the entire game was unnecessary prior to it as you practically wipe everything you ever did from existence.
It was mainly just an excuse to add DLC and squeeze some more money out of people.
The original Fallout 3 ending made me yell.
Then of course, COD 4, I kill the main villain and then I get taken away on a helicopter with no info. on my teammates, and after the credits... who the hell are these guys?
I would have to say Knights of the old Republic II. With such a good story and a very good predecessor, the ending pissed me off to no small end. Seemed as if they never finished the game and had to tack something there so they could release it.
I was gonna say Legacy of Kain Defiance since it kills off my most beloved character of the franchise Raziel, but then on reflection I hated most of it since the story was sh1t (unlike it's marvelous predecessors)offering no closure and crap gameplay but then again I played the PC version and a keybord is not suited for a fixed camera unlike a analog stick but then not too many games can pull off a fixed camera like God of War II did. Also Heavenly Sword had a crappy ending since Nariko was killed of... in this case I'll just say I was disappointed with all games that make you form an emotional attachment to a character and then kills him/her off.

I played the PC version, too... always fun executing a jump towards a crucial checkpoint and then soaring into the void - it was as if I could hear the game laughing a slapping its ass at me. -.-
But I did like the ending, it pretty much tied everything up in a neat little bow... and let's face it, the story and the characters of LoK always made for a somewhat dark and depressing setting, so a storybook happy ending was never really an option anyway.
On topic, I'd have to say that the ending of 'Viking: Battle for Asgard' was a slap in the balls. Yes, many people tell me, "Why do you play that game?! Everything about it is downright abysmal!" ...but in my opinion, big angry vikings chopping up baddies and splitting heads (and not to mention their whole mythology) are made of awesomesauce, so nye.
BUT WHAT WAS UP WITH THAT ENDING?? How could they possibly think that would be a good idea?!
Not only were the comic book graphics of the cutscenes completely out of place, but as in PoP, Skarin ends up launching Ragnaroek... and in this case it's not even for the sake of a halfway likable character, but because he didn't get to bone an aloof goddess who looked like princess Leia on steroids!! And the storytelling in that outro made the awesome mythology of the Norse gods sound like something out of the nature-loving Native American lore bucket. -.-

Ubi originally planned to release more for PoP in the form of DLC to continue the story instead of releasing a whole new game all together.
And you kind of start thinking that he will escape again anyway, they mention it most of the time. But whatever, I enjoyed the ending it was a nice twist for me. To each his own.
Ok, I can't believe that I had to rejester to be the first on to say this, but, LEGEND OF ZELDA TWILIGHT PRINCESS. That was the most WTF ending I have ever seen.

Another Code: Two Memories. Oh, man. After a game that sucked me straight in right the way through until the final thirty minutes, I was bitterly disappointed by the anti-climatic ending. Other than that, it was awesome. Damn shame.

Knight of the old republic 2. Only because the ending to Kotor one was better and I was expecting something that...well first off made sense. Kotor 2's ending made me want more and didnt leave me with that satisfied feeling I usualy have when I finish games.
